About this listen

!! NOW WITH AN EXCLUSIVE BONUS CHAPTER !!

'Amber's series breaks the rules in the best way. Her main character is strong, capable, and unapologetically powerful. There is no damsel here. This story is filled with fast-paced action, an in-depth world, and a romance that goes from simmer to boil. If you like romantasy, read this!' RAVEN KENNEDY

Don't miss this addictive BookTok sensation - a perfectly steamy, high-stakes, TRUE enemies-to-lovers, dark epic romantasy!

WHERE THERE ARE GODS, THERE ARE ALSO MONSTERS . . .

For a thousand years, the Etherworld has known peace.
Until now.

Many centuries ago, desperate to save her dying sister, Dianna made a deal with Kaden, a monster far worse than any nightmare. Locked in servitude to him, she is forced to hunt down an ancient relic held by her most dangerous enemies: an army led by Samkiel, the World Ender.

After the Gods War, Samkiel hid from everything, denying his crown and deserting his people. Now, an attack on those he loves sends him back to the realm he never wished to return to, and into the sights of an enemy he had hoped to forget.

With every world at stake, Dianna and Samkiel are forced to set aside their animosity and work together, before all is lost . . .

Don't miss the next books in the series, THE THRONE OF BROKEN GODS and THE DAWN OF THE CURSED QUEEN. . .

'A wicked ride from beginning to heart shattering end. Leaving me literally screaming for more. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough to get more our morally corrupt heroine who you can't help but root for, along with the giggle inducing banter between her and the heroic god Samkiel' HANNAH NICOLE MAERHER

'Once in a while I read a series that reminds me of just why I love enemies to lovers, slow burn, and morally grey characters so much. Gods and Monsters is that series. This is perfection. Amber Nicole's Dianna is the FMC of my soul' NISHA J. TULI

Alot of good narrators can do multiple voices or now books have dual narrators. This narrator just read it and I could barely tell which person she was reading. Not a good experience. I may just have to read it since the audible sucks. And it appears same narrators does the whole series 👀😩🙄

Needed dual narrators

The narrator was really hard for me to get past. She did fine with the females, but the way she portrayed Liam drove me crazy. I know he was depressed and unfeeling in the beginning, butttt... with his voice he is about as interesting as a card board box. I pushed through but will be getting the next book by hard copy.

I think I liked this book..?

I can’t wait until the next book comes out!!! Amazing. Jaw dropping. I’m in love!

Omg!!!!

Sone elements of this story were interesting, but the overall story arc was fairly predictable. Also, the narrator started out sounding like a schoolgirl reading from a book. She improved over the course of the book, but her voicing of the main male character remained stilted & monotonous throughout.

Amusing, but somewhat predictable

Loved everything about this book. The pace and storyline really grabbed my attention and i honestly was transfixed into this world.

I loved the whole book, it was a little slow in the begging though still packed with action begging ingredients to end. I love Ruthie's narration and how it brings the book alive I can't wait for the second one to come out! I love Diana and Liam!

I was not expecting that ending!!!

DIANNA!!! This book gave true enemies to lovers and the narrators sealed that. Liam's narrator gave the monotone and matter of fact way of speaking. I ate this book up.

5 Star Read

I felt like the story line would have been interesting, however the commentary between characters felt childish and I didn’t love the narrator. Her voice wasn’t annoying or anything, but I didn’t feel it was a good match for the character. She sounded pretty young. And immature (in a YA teen character kind of way) but this character was centuries old so it just wasn’t adding up. Maybe some day I’ll try the book itself.

Couldn’t get into it

The beginning is long and confusing. The second half improves a lot and is enjoyable but getting there is hard. I had that there is not a male and female reader when there are two distinct POVs. Also it’s impossible to sell when they switch to a flash back. In the book it is italicized but I was just lost a lot because of it.

Needs two readers

I just couldn’t fully emerge into the world. I like the idea behind the book and feel like I would’ve ranked it higher if I was able to get into the world but it was very difficult for me. I believe this also had to deal with the narrator I was listening and how it was just a women speaking for all pov’s, which I normally don’t care but the narrator didn’t switch up how each MC sounded. It just wasn’t my cup of tea for that.

Unable to get into the world
