Story
There’s an underground magical vault, protected by sorcery, security cameras, guards, and whatnot. Think of the most impenetrable place in the world. Now triple it. It belongs to a dragon, and I was hired to break into it and steal his hoard. I might be an alchemist extraordinaire and the best burglar on the East Coast, but this is not a solo job. I’ll need a team for this one. Accompanied by a powerful sorcerer, a fortune teller, a scam artist, and a hacker, I embark on the heist of the century. If we succeed, we’ll be legends. If not - crispy dragon snacks.

Story
Uttered by the abusive father of a nine-year-old girl, that phrase ended Jack’s career as a police negotiator and has been haunting him ever since. Now that he is a struggling private detective, those words return with a vengeance when he inherits a mansion - and some terrifying information. Apparently Jack’s soul was sold at birth, and a devil will come to claim it on his thirty-third birthday just weeks away. It’s a hard pill to swallow, given that Jack doesn’t believe in hell (heaven, either).

I love the book and hate your choice of narrator.
Why would you use a southern narrator to narrate this book? it takes place in the UK. And worse, his attempt at doing a female voice made him sound like a character from South Park. I had to work hard to continue listening, but the story was so good that I made it through.

Unsuited narrator
This narrator wasn't suited to this story. Very hard to get into the story when it is so jarring, as well as many mispronounced words.

Interesting Read
The Book of Abominations is a very good read but the narrator is the wrong one for this type of book. I received this audio book at my request for free and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
