Just how LONG is a "SHORT story"?

This a very good collection. It is well read and enjoyable. It was marred do to the VERY long "short story" at the very end. The last story was VERY long and it would have best have been left off this collection. Some of the other stories were OUTSTANDING! worth the listen!

Update: Chapter/ sub-chapter titles have been added

And with that update this is now a perfect audiobook. I can say that without having listened to a tenth of it after scrolling thru the table of contents and because I have near total faith in Otto Penzler’s capacity as an editor. All three narrators are total pros. Many of the stories are ones I’ve never heard of, but written by authors whose work I’m well acquainted with. That’s always a good sign IME, so I’m just giving this fives across the board. A no brainer use of a credit.

No Chapter Titles! Ridiculous!

I bought this audio book when I saw that it was narrated by Eric Michael Summerer. I know him from the Dice Tower podcast and it was a total surprise to me that he narrates audio books (and has done many!). He's got the perfect voice for it.

He is the perfect narrator for this kind of book. I have really enjoyed it.

However, I will not purchase another one of these Big Book Series audio books. Why? No chapter titles! This is ridiculous! The table of contents of the print book contains 47 chapters. There are over 200 chapters in the audio book and not one of them is titled. This isn't a book that you read from chapter 1 to the end. It's a book full of short stories by different authors over a variety of categories. There are multiple subsections in there. But you'd never know that. You have no idea what story you are going to listen to until you start listening to it.

Want to listen to a story again? Have fun trying to find it.

I expected better from an Audible book.

Wow hours of weak writing

Boring. This is very bad. It screams ill adjusted white man. The first 20 minutes of this recording is said man justifying the obvious lack talent by saying everyone who has standards is ill adjusted and weak.
