Great listen for gardeners!

Although I'm by no means new to gardening, I am new to the world of permaculture and needed an educational starting-point. This audiobook goes beyond the basics and hits a lot of topics you wouldn't think of like the cost. This is a great beginners guide! The narration is well done and easy to listen to. The author brilliantly outlines exactly how to create a sustainable, self-sufficient garden, regardless of the space or resources you have. I loved the emphasis on environmental stewardship and organic produce - a focus we're quickly losing as a society. All in all, this was a great listen!

Fabulous for beginners like me!

My kids are mostly gone and I have wanted to get into gardening for several years now. One of my New Year's resolutions is to read up on gardening and make some plans for spring. This book really helped me out. I was recently driving to MN and at a gas stop in a small town the owner shared with me his love of gardening and gave me some of his seeds... I am SO pumped. SO, best chapter for me: planning & selecting your plants, composting, and pest control. All very practical and easy to go back to and review. Thanks for giving me the knowledge and motivation to begin!

Perma Culture here I come!

This book takes a beginner like myself all the way from answering the question, what is it …….to that first home grown meal. I love the explanation name Permanent Agriculture. Sustainable, work with nature instead of against concept won my attention for the next and the next educational filled chapter. Earth care, people care and fair share points are great ethics for any country to adopt. You could remove composting chapter and use for mulching until ready to do an entire garden, no problem. The integrated pest management chapter includes advantages and disadvantages I found very helpful. Loved the testimony stories. It is winter here now, but this book can provide so much information, I will keep replaying and be prepared for Perma Culture gardening come spring.
