tales
Five historical romances that are based on true events. I really enjoyed seeing these strong men and women standing up for their beliefs. At the end of each one the author gives us some historical as well as personal information that adds to the read or in my case listen. I listened to this book on audible. The narrator did a good job of making me hear the different characters as well as see what is happening in each of their lives.

Adorable stories with a background
These stories were cute and captivating. I’d think one was my favorite and then I’d get into the next one and think it was. Ha! But my favorite part was the end of each story when the author wouod tell what inspired certain characters. How interesting to see how she pulled from her real life history!

Sweet, clean, historical romance
Another lovely collection of stories set in Willow Valley. Typically I prefer full books to short stories, but in this series both are equally engaging. Willow Valley is filled with a diverse group of inhabitants, and getting more about the town and it's inhabitants is always a fun read.
I love the addition of the author's notes for a brief bit of more information on the inspiration for the stories as well as historical context.

My review
Tales of Willow Valley is a collection of five short historical stories centered in (you guessed it!) Willow Valley. While I don’t like short stories because I feel like they are rushed and choppy, I only really felt that way about the first story. I really enjoyed the author notes at the end of each story learning the history the story and characters are based upon.
The narrator did a wonderful job at doing all the different voices.
I received a free copy of this audiobook from the author. These are my own and honest opinions.

Loved this book
I enjoyed the listening time spent on this very sweet book. The narrator, Carolyn Kashner, did a very nice job, both with expression and the different characters that were portrayed.
This full length book entails five historical short love stories. The author is well-known for her sweet romances and these are stories of some of her ancestors and written into a sweet romance, with some excellent details of the time period, the struggles that the people of those days went through as well as everyday life. All with enjoyable storylines...
I am a genealogist, so the fact that she writes tales of her ancestors is a real plus for me as I try to think back and reflect on earlier years and how things change and yet how things also stay the same.
The stories are refreshing tales of good people working through life as do we today, as well. The title of one of the stories which gives me hope for the struggles we are going through now, "The Light at the End of the Tunnel". God is always watching out for us and there are good things yet to come.
I found these happy stories just what I needed in these trying days. I recommend it!
I received a complimentary copy of this Audible book from the author. All thoughts are my own.

Wonderful Historical Romance
Tales of Willow Valley is Book 5 in A Willow Valley Historical Romance by Linda Weaver Clarke. I enjoy historical romance and mystery books. I believe that each book is short enough that I was able to listen to each story in one setting. I found each of the five books was had things in common while being totally different. The Willow Valley Historical Romance checks all of my audio book enjoyment.... this series is not to be missed. I received an arc for free and am leaving my review voluntarily.
