About this listen
In the tradition of The Twilight Zone and Tales From the Crypt, Ronald McGillvray’s Tales From the Parkland offers a spine-chilling collection that blurs the line between reality and nightmare.
A father is forced to make a terrible decision… Which of his children will he sacrifice to the Garbage Collectors? A family’s sightseeing trip turns into a desperate fight for survival when a city is besieged by flesh-melting rain. A man’s childhood nightmare returns, forcing him to confront the monster under the bed to protect his family. Two siblings must rely on each other to survive when their daycare turns into a den of horror. Two elite snipers wage an impossible war when a secret military experiment unleashes the apocalypse.
Prepare to be haunted by these twisted tales and others that will keep you up listening late into the night!

Story
Martin Lorensen is a twenty-three-year-old counselor for disturbed teenagers. He’s bright, compassionate, attractive, and outgoing. He’s also—and this is the most interesting thing—not dead. Martin has improbably survived not one but two deadly disasters that claimed dozens of lives. The kid is riding one hell of a lucky streak. Two federal agents think there is something darker at play. Now that they’ve arranged to interview Martin, they want answers. Martin is ready to share everything he knows. One thing is for certain: when it comes to escaping death, luck doesn’t figure into it at all.

Tales From The Parkland by Ronald McGillvray
🌟🌟🌟🌟
This is a great collection of 11 short spooky horror stories and 1 longer novella at the end. Such a fun read!! Most of these stories are filled with creepiness and darkness!
A few standouts for me are:
-The Garbage Collectors
-Ubiquity
-Typo
-A Late Night Call
I listened to the audio version and the narrator did a very good job also! This is my first book from this author, but I’ll definitely be looking for more!
Thank you to Velox Books & Ronald McGillvray for an audio copy of this fantastic book of terror!

No Buyer’s Remorse
I liked all the stories, and that almost never happens for me with a collection. What grabbed my attention was the reference to the Crate Monster from the Creepshow. To this day, as a matured grown man, I still remember how scary that was. I was a little disappointed with some of the dialog in Harmony, because I thought it was ‘horror-cliché’. It was a good listen overall.

Slightly daunting short stories
A collection of short horror stories, even though they were not as scary as I expected, which is honestly fine by me as very scary stories can make me paranoid at night... 😅 Some stories have a full ending, some leave a little to your own deduction, all induce thought on what you might do in the crazy situations our characters were unwillingly finding themselves in,,. * Good narration, short format, very easy to listen to and definitely recommended!
