About this listen

Nath Dragon triumphed over his greatest foe, Gorn Grattack, bringing peace and order back to the world of Nalzambor...mostly. Now, bored with ruling from the dragon throne, Nath and his dwarven comrade Brenwar Bolderguild, set out to solve one of the greatest mysteries of all. Who and where is Nath's mother? Does she even exist? Is she imprisoned?

Finding themselves neck deep in a battle with the wurmers, Nath and company seek the vanquish Nalzambor's greatest threat, the Titans. Eckubahn, the Titan will stop at nothing to destroy the dragons and take over mankind.

After a harrowing escape from Urslay, the city of giants, Nath, Brenwar, and Selene find themselves in the sanctuary of the Elven Field of Dreams. The solitude and peace in the lush land offers refreshing waters but that does not last long. The wilder elves, guardians of the sanctuary, take Nath and company prisoner as he stands accused of murder.

The ruthless titans begin to put the squeeze on the people of Nalzambor in their search for Nath Dragon and his father Balzurth. Eckubahn, the titan king and ruler of the giants will stop at nothing to destroy the both of them. In his stead Eckubahn employs Rybeck, a cunning warrior with a deep grudge against Nath Dragon.

Nath Dragon's father, Balzurth, has disappeared and delivered himself into the hands the titan leader, Eckubahn.

Note: This incredible set of adventures is appropriate for listeners of all ages and does not include any foul language or sexual content. Also some background music and sounds effects have been added to enhance the listening experience.

Amazing Series- a must listen!!!!!!

Would you consider the audio edition of Tail of the Dragon to be better than the print version?

Ummm-Yeah!!! But honestly, I think that listening to it first, then reading it makes it better because then you know what each character sounds like and you can put those words to the voices.

What other book might you compare Tail of the Dragon to and why?

I am a book worm, and there are a lot of books that I read. Some that come to mind are 'The Sanctuary Series', 'The Dark Slayer' (one of his other amazing book series I highly recommend!), 'The Book of Deacon', 'Rise of the Dragons', and Armies of the Silver Mage.

Each of these bring action, adventure, suspense, late night reading suspense of 'I can't stop reading!', twists, funny characters, and imagination.

What about Lee Alan’s performance did you like?

I thoroughly enjoy the clarity of each character he voices- especially Brenwar, Nath, and many others! He makes Brenwar nearly sound and act like Gimly from Lord of the Rings.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Take me to a cabin surrounded by the rocky mountains full of snow, hot chocolate, and a view of the snow falling and we are all good!

Any additional comments?

I have read/listened Craig's books (the 1st 10 books of The Chronicles of Dragon, and The Dark Slayer 1st series) and have not regretted not one bit of my time to reading and listening to his books. If you are looking for an enjoyable, action, adventure, suspense, twists, funny characters, love, funny character reading/listening, then you will not be disappointed! If you have not read his 1st series, then I recommend that you read/listen to them first so you know how Nath came to be and how far he has come to be the Dragon he wants to be...but a bigger threat has come and balance of power is hanging in the balance.....will Nath and his friends be able to defeat the most formidable foe yet?

26 HRS NATH - BRENWAR - DRAGONS - GIANTS AND . .

What made the experience of listening to Tail of the Dragon the most enjoyable?

Love the characters. Love the story. Brenwar is perfect. He even sings ! But takes no guff. This is a great way to listen to a terrific audio Book Series. 5 Books all at once. Craig Halloran's stories and settings are original, fun, possible and impossible. Hope there are more in this series. Well, back to listening. It's my second time around. 26 hours again....

What other book might you compare Tail of the Dragon to and why?

All of Craig Halloran's books. Chronicles of Dragon Omnibus is great..

Which character – as performed by Lee Alan – was your favorite?

There is only one Brenwar Bodergild. Got to be my favorite ( Next to Nath Dragon of course)

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Brenwar's song

Any additional comments?

This series just captures imaginations and sets up fantastical images in the theater of the mind.

Why are the Bravest always the Stupidest?

This book starts off where the last one ended; with Neth becoming a mighty dragon! If you are a fan of the fantasy genre, or are looking to inspire your children into becoming fantasy addicts, this book is for you! It has the feel of being forged from the table top, and Lee Alan's voices and sound effects are entertaining and delightful.

This book is a classic fantasy epic, fraught with metaphor. I highly recommend it to people who love the genre.

Great fantasy adventure for younger readers

3.5 of 5 stars
Listened to audio narrated by Lee Alan I've mixed feelings about the audio. I thought Alan brought a liveliness to the characters but the sound effects were very distracting as they felt more cartoonish than actually representative of the sound they were indicating.

Tail of the Dragon
Claws of the Dragon
Battle of the Dragon
Eyes of the Dragon
Flight of the Dragon

This series continues the adventures of Nath Dragon King of Dragons and his friends the Dwarf Brenwar Bolderguild and High Priestess Selene, a fellow dragon. These five books include the search for Nath's mother, discovering the Titans and the eventual war between the Dragons, Titans and it's allies.

Very easy to listen to and geared toward a younger audience. There's very simple dialogue and slapstick humor as they go on adventures, get captured and fight their way free. I prefer a little more complexity, but I think younger readers will enjoy following their adventures.

If you like my reviews I hope you will follow me.

An incredible narration.

I've listened to almost a thousand audiobooks. This one is special, Lee Alan at the top of his form. Single person theatre, with all voices completely different. Plenty of sound effect, occasional music, chaos in the background. Just about every minute, Lee Alan is bringing in something special as a narrator that's technically amazing.

A true 6 star performance.

I wish I could say the same for the story, it's an okay fantasy adventure story. I've also listened to all of the other big Craig Halloran books, mostly because Lee Alan pulls them off so well.
