About this listen

Carl Jung defined the phenomenon of “synchronicity” as “a collaboration between persons and events that seems to enlist the cooperation of fate.” Joseph Jaworski posits you can take advantage of synchronicity, creating the conditions for “predictable miracles” versus being reactionary and a victim of circumstances. Instead of focusing on numbers, reports, and other inanimate objects, Jaworski encourages leaders and managers to look at the world primarily through relationships. Allowing life to flow through us—instead of despite us—he explains, will foster an atmosphere of learning and top performance.

I felt that the book started strong and held my interest, however, halfway through I found myself nodding off. I was expecting a more engaging story and more lessons to be learned than there were. Disappointing, but this book was required reading for a class that I am taking.

First half was great, second was a snooze fest

What made the experience of listening to Synchronicity the most enjoyable?

the ideas are intrinsic inside the story, it does not feel like a lecturer, it feels like a mentor.

How could the performance have been better?

the recording was noisy and the narrator did not have an optimal flow while reading.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

yes

Great story, amateurish narrator and recording

This is a truly engaging story about how to find your true voice and change the world. Joseph Jarowskis life seems to have inspired Robin Sharma to write The monk who sold his Ferrari and pick up a new career. It touches upon the interesting concept of synchronicity. And even though the author never really explains the concept in detail, you will grasp it fully. That is if you are open to the notion of a synchronized universe.

The book opens up doors, but does not close them all, leaving more questions than answers. Which I find great.

View it as a start of a new inspirational journey to transform your life and starting to search for your true contribution to the world.

He read his diary to us. No real substance that teaches any lessons that one can apply to their own life.

Ugggh!

I still don’t know why the book’s title is synchronicity. This is more like a long journal entry in somebody’s life, but not worth listening

Bad sound quality and lack of substance

Started very strong but turned into gibberish. This was basically an autobiography but never really told how you could achieve this self actualized level.

Book fell short.

If you're corporate suit looking for new ideas for the boardroom, download this one. I'm sure you'll love it. If you're a lover of Jung and all things philosophical/metaphysical, don't bother. God, I so don't care about the implementation of global strategies for Shell oil company . . .

From interesting to oh, so boring
