Intense Psychological Thriller

Michael Robothem has once again smitten me with his fantastic psychological Thriller : The Suspect.
I find myself doubting the main Character myself after certain clues come up...pointing to him. I found myself doubting the accused Bobby as I felt sorry for him.
I really dislike when people give away too many clues...so just read it! The narator was excellent for the type of novel his voice is very fitting ..slow paced..however magically done...leaving u trying to grasp every clue u can 2 solve this crime. Well written & preformed.

Enjoyable

I enjoyed this book. It was intelligent and funny. There were several parts that made me laugh quite loud and vigorously. I did not figure the story out in the beginning or middle. It was surprising, even partly till the end. I will continue with this series and the author.

Great story, mediocre narrator

The story is highly imaginative. Some parts are downright unbelievable. I enjoyed it though. The story is compelling, and a surprise ending, sort of.

Suspenseful with strong characters and descriptions.

Hard to put down! Love the descriptions of London and Wales and surrounding countryside. Many surprises and suspenseful twists and turns. Strong character development. My second Audible book by the author. Looking forward to more. Narrator enhanced the story.

Wrong Order

I managed to read Lost before I read Suspect but luckily that did not detract anything from this book, Michael Robothams main characters are so real, no Hollywood veneer used. I think the richness of detail in the flaws and mannerisms of his characters combined with his plots which like a long carpet that keeps unrolling reveal more detail and story intrigue with every passing page/minute and that makes both Suspect and Lost books that are hard to put down. I want to read more...

I'm loving Robotham!

Would you listen to Suspect again? Why?

Absolutely! I love his writing style, the narrator and just plain great story. My first was Say You're sorry. It was so good I went to #1 to start from the beginning. I find myself listening at every opportunity and then so disappointed when it's over. Books are the same as movies for me, if I like it I can do it over again and enjoy it just as much as the first time.

What other book might you compare Suspect to and why?

A couple of Robert Goddard's books are this good.

What does Simon Prebble bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Because I'm not a great reader, the narrator brings books to life. A really good narrator makes a read feel like a movie. Prebble does a great job of it.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No laughing or crying, just can't put it down.

Any additional comments?

It's just so enjoyable to find a series you like as much this one.
