What a Wonderful Story

Stella: The Star That Traveled Far was nothing less than a true GEM. I loved listening to this audiobook and can't wait until my grandchildren get to hear it. This is appealing on many levels. It teaches about our galaxy; the planets, moons, etc. I'll be looking for more books written by Hailey Yang as well as books narrated by Sheree Wichard.

Sheree Wichard's performance was fabulous. She was utterly entertaining and her voice would fascinate any child. She has wonderful voice inflections and adds so much personality to the characters. Very much recommended.

This short story was pretty entertaining and fun. It's educational as it teaches about the solar system and the narrator is brilliant.

A fun, cute and educational short story for kids

This ultra-cute short story for young children blends fun characterisations with interesting facts on our Universe.

Narrator Sheree Wichard provides a broad range of cute voices when Stella, a shooting star, accidentally bumps into the moon, starting a great friendship. When the moon disappears however, Stella traverses the galaxy looking for her friend, meeting other planets and astronomical entities along the way. Each is given a distinct voice and character, and teaches Stella about the planets, stars, asteroids and more.

Wichard’s narration is delightful and should appeal to the young listeners this story is targeted to. The quality of the recording is only let down. While Wichard’s diction is clear and her reading is an utter joy to listen to, her voice lacks the sharpness expected from today’s digital recordings. She sounds slightly muffled.

Hailey Yang’s tale is exciting and interesting, nicely balancing adventure and fact for the target audience and providing plenty of opportunities for parents to engage with their kids in conversation about what they’ve learned.

Coming in at approximately 13 minutes, Stella: The Star That Travelled Far is not a long listen. It’s a good length for a bedtime story or some quick, quality family time. Very cute

Cute story involving the planets. I liked that the star Stella had a friendship with the moon was a nice touch. And that she made friends with the other planets in her search to find the moon when he went missing. Had some great information in a cute story. Received this book at no charge in exchange for an honest review.
