Publisher's summary

The princess isn’t supposed to dethrone the king.

Elsa

He said he’ll destroy me, and he did.

I might have lost the battle, but the war is far from over.

They say it starts with one move to dethrone the king.

No one mentioned he’ll yank me with him on the way down.

Aiden

If Steel’s little princess wants a war, then war it is.

There’s only one rule: my rules or none at all.

By all means, show me what you got, sweetheart.

Steel Princess is book two of Royal Elite series and should be listened to after Deviant King. This is a dark high-school bully romance, mature new adult, and contains dubious situations that some listeners might find offensive.

This audiobook is part of a trilogy and is not a stand-alone.

The entire trilogy is available.

Steamy page turner

The narration is excellent. Story relies on the push-pull relationship in the middle but picks up the mystery again towards the end.

A Tale of Intense Love and Mystery

"Steel Princess" by Rina Kent elevated the story of Aiden and Elsa to an entirely new level, capturing my full attention with a pace that was significantly more intense than its predecessor. This book brought a whirlwind of secrets, mysteries, and an emotional depth that left me eagerly flipping through the pages, desperate to uncover every hidden truth.

The character development of Aiden and Elsa, particularly in this installment, was exceptionally well-executed. Aiden, with his sociopathic tendencies, dominates the narrative with his jealousy and possessiveness. This intensity, while extreme, is intriguingly balanced against Elsa's strength and resilience. Elsa's capacity to stand up to Aiden, to challenge his overbearing nature, added a compelling dynamic to their relationship. It was fascinating to see how Elsa navigated Aiden's complex personality, her own feelings of jealousy and possessiveness mirroring his, yet justified in their own right.

Their relationship is far from typical. It's a mix of dominance, steamy encounters, and a deep, underlying connection that goes beyond their physical attraction. The eroticism between them is explicit and intense, fitting seamlessly into the dark and edgy world that Kent has created.

The narrative skillfully reveals fragments of Elsa's forgotten past, adding layers of suspense and intrigue to the story. Aiden's reluctance to disclose what he knows creates a tantalizing sense of mystery, driving the plot forward and keeping me hooked. The supporting characters, including the rest of the Four Horsemen and Elsa's Aunt and Uncle, are well-developed, each adding their own secrets and depth to the unfolding drama.

The cliffhanger at the end of "Steel Princess" was nothing short of breathtaking, and I couldn't pick up the next book fast enough. Kent's ability to leave the reader in suspense, desperate for the next book, is a testament to her storytelling prowess. The revelations, coupled with the tantalizing hints of secrets yet to be uncovered, make this book a thrilling and captivating read.

"Steel Princess" is a fantastic continuation of Aiden and Elsa's story, filled with passion, secrets, and an intensity that keeps the reader engaged from start to finish. Rina Kent has crafted a world that is both dark and alluring, and I am eagerly anticipating diving into the next installment to see how this complex tale unfolds.

Damn Good Audio Book

The audio book performance is great. Both male and female characters are spoken authentically. I really enjoy how the male parts and lines are read by the male voice actor and not the female and vice versa. The story is great too with some twist and turns, plus the character development is swoon worthy. I think the voice actors are probably the best I’ve heard in any audio book collections. Def. 5 stars.
