About this listen

Opposites may attract - but can two very different people find lasting love?

A year ago, ex-Delta Force operator Steven Roark left the rigors of combat behind to run fishing charters in Hope Harbor, decompress, and talk some sense into his kid brother. Business is good - but making peace with his past is more challenging than he expected.

First-grade teacher Holly Miller leads a low-profile existence - until she’s recruited to advocate for a cause that’s dear to her heart. When she solicits Steven’s assistance, sparks fly - especially after they find themselves on opposite sides of an issue that disrupts their placid seaside community.

As these two seemingly incompatible souls wrestle with their differences, might they discover more common ground than they expect - and a future filled with promise?

Good Romance novel

Except for the religious parts this was a typical romance novel. It was just what I wanted to hear and I enjoyed it.

Therese Plumber

Narrator is one that I follow. Storyline is good but easy to figure out from second chapter. Need a little more left to imagination

Preachy

If you are all for preachy books...this one is for you. I don’t mind opposing views from mine, but I don’t like it shoved down my throat. I wish there was something saying this was that type of book. It’s sweet and the story is sweet.

Uplifting story of how we shouldn’t look where people have been but where they are standing now.

I enjoyed hearing how each example fit together of people who felt like life hadn’t given them the best circumstances but they made the most and encouraged one another in the process.

Too preachy

I was enjoying it until it got too preachy. I wis it had been labeled Christian.

Just the Hallmark type story break I needed!

Happy ending! Relaxing story in a time of worldly insanity! Sometimes escape is healthy. Thanks for the break. 😊

Engaging, fun, meaningful, and full of heart

This is my favorite book in the series so far. This book touches on some very deep and intense topics, and I love the balanced perspective that the characters give on difficult topics like cancer, chronic disease, terrorism, the sanctity of life, war, and pro life issues.

This book is also a beautiful love story about a small town that works together to care about one another and the community, and about acceptance and forgiveness. As always, Therese Plummer (sp?) did a great job with the audio narration. I would recommend this to people of faith who also enjoy a good romance.
