Another amazing piece of work

The 2nd installment of the Son of Sun series does not disappoint. As good as At Arms Length was this installment surpasses the original book. The writer has built a gritty world with beacons of light with his characters. The pacing, world building and character development makes this an easy listen. In one chapter alone I was scared, cried and laughed. Do yourself a favor give this series a try. You can thank me later.

A wild, dark cyberpunk world!

I don't often write reviews as frankly I'm not particularly well versed in doing so. This story was great though and I can't wait for the next installment! Keep it up Mix!

Tower of Phantoms is a masterpiece

Mixtopher's second audio book is phenomenal. The narrator's voice showed his immense talent. It was great listening to his voices for Clain, Honey, Synric, Kruger, Dawn, Honey, and Fila. Synric's cryptic demeanor during his epic rematch with Clain makes me eager to read the third book in this magnificent series. I'm looking forward to seeing where this plot goes.

"You're welcome. Rest well"

I am only in the middle of Chapter 6. I am taking it slow and savoring every minute of it so far! Everything about this book and series is AMAZING! I am curious about Kiva the Cats place in the story. Oh, and everyone, let's get Mix to do a prequel featuring a young Mr. and Mrs. Lee!

SoS2 is finally here!!

I will admit I struggled to read this book in the beginning. Not because of the author, but because of personal life events getting in the way. However, that is also a good thing because I hate waiting for the next season to begin after the season finale leaves you mangled on your floor, having to pick yourself up and gather your thoughts over the epic story that's just within your grasp but is sadly out of reach leaving you hopelessly wondering what's next.

Amazing presentation and amazing story. Hell, most of these characters can have their own books. I hope the author considers writing these someday and expands his universe even more.

I highly recommend doing a read-a-long with the audio book. The narrator brings this book to life in a way that keeps you gripped and glued to your seat. Forcing you to pick up your phone ordering food delivery. If you are familiar with binge watching, then you will feel right at home here. Most chapters leave you curious enough to keep you moving through them quickly with little downtime. it's hard to find time to take a break in the storytelling. The author has definitely leveled up since his first book.

The QR codes playing the music that inspired the author to write these chapters was a genius idea. I will admit that I didn't utilize this feature because it was hard enough for me to pull my eyes away from the book. However, I felt I had no choice but to scan these codes in the final two chapters, and boy, I'm glad I did.

Book 3 can't come fast enough, but when it does, I'll be eagerly waiting for my return to New Beam City.

An experience for even the Author!

Zachary brings life to the words I wrote and his ability to accurately and patiently learn about my world and the characters within is 2nd to none. He had me laughing at my own jokes and tearing up at the sentimental moments.

As the author, I am constantly hoping to improve with things such as word variety and variations to help the story flow better as we bring the first trilogy to a close. Book 3, Sins Of The Father should be the best yet as I introduce the first fantasy creatures into New Beam City.

If you took the time to give Son Of Syn a chance, thank you 🙏

Even better than the last one!

The pacing was great, I was captivated the entire time. The narration was very good. Lots of action in this book. Also, there is a lot of character development. We get to see glimpses into the past and the motivation of a lot of these characters. The whole time while listening, I was imagining how awesome this would be if it were made into a video game. Great read, I highly recommend it to anyone who likes Sci Fi or fantasy.

Dark and Gritty

Tower of Phantoms is everything from book 1 turned up to 11. The world feels darker and the action is crazier!

I also see some light cultivation in the story.

the world reminds me if Shadowrun and Final Fantasy 7 had a child.

we get more back story on all characters and everything feels more immersive.

Zachary Johnson brings everyone to life and keeps you on the edge of your seat.
