About this listen

The Remingtons are a series of stand-alone romances that may also be enjoyed as part of the larger Love in Bloom series.

In Slope of Love....

Olympic gold medalist skiers Jayla Stone and Rush Remington have been best friends for years. They've seen each other at their best and worst and have kept each other's secrets without fail. Only there's one secret Rush has kept close to his chest. After months of introspection, Rush realizes he's been filling his bed but not tending to his heart. He's changed his womanizing ways, and the only woman who can fill his heart has been right by his side all this time.

Years of intimate conversations and the sharing of hopes and dreams collide when Rush reveals his secret, and one toe-curling kiss changes everything between Rush and Jayla. They're no match for the passion that kiss ignites, or the pull of true love. But being Rush's best friend means knowing all about his revolving bedroom door - and Jayla has a secret of her own that could jeopardize her career and her relationship with Rush. Even their love may not be enough to overcome Rush's past or secure Jayla's future.

Rush and Jayla- down the ski slope of love

Another great book by Melissa Foster. The narration by B.J. Harrison, who has a great voice, was pleasant to listen to. It’s nice to hear it from a male perspective even though he was reading Melissa’s words. He brought the book to life in his own way.

Rush Remington and Jayla Stone are both Olympic Skiers and have been friends since their early teenage years. It was nice seeing this friendship move along to something more. It was as if they were both sowing their oats and finally realized that they loved each other in the “more then friends category” As with all Melissa’s books, there were twist and turns at unexpected times Thank goodness for my HEA!!!

Friends to Lovers

Rush Remington and Jayla Stone have been best friends for fifteen years as well as Olympic Gold Medalist. There are no secrets between them, except for the fact they are in love with each other but neither has confessed their feelings for the other. Jayla is also keeping her shoulder injury a secret from Rush as well as her coaches and teammates.

When Rush confesses his love to Jayla and tries to convince her he’s changed, she is hesitant to fully commit due to Rush’s womanizing past. As they navigate their new relationship, Jayla struggles watching women come onto Rush and doesn’t fully believe he is committed to her. Rush is out to prove to Jayla she’s the only one for him.

A Rush of Emotions

WOW!!! Another GREAT 'Love In Bloom' Book!! The Friendship between Rush & Jayla is one of those PRICELESS pieces of your life that you wish to experience with anyone...and to find that in someone you can eventually marry...to be a lover & a best friend...That is seriously Once in a Lifetime!!

It was tough to navigate from friends to lovers...and Melissa was able to capture that into words and we felt every word that was written through BJ's narration!!

Keep it up Melissa & BJ...we LOVE these guys!!!

Best Friends make the best partners

This was a wonderful book, it was chalk full of steamy romance along the journey. Here we meet Rush and Jayla, two best friends who through thick and thin are always there for one another. Only as time passes they cannot deny their true passion for each other. This book was narrated by none other than BJ Harrison who once again nails it page after page. It's hard to believe he can pull off each character but time after time he does just that. I know when he's telling the story I'm going to be sucked in and made to be part of the action. The book was one I just adored and didn't want to stop listening, I was almost sad for it to end but just enjoyed the adventure in love along the way. This is a must read...or in this case a must listen to.

Are Jayla and Rush ready to ski together?

Jayla and Rush are both world champion skiers who have known each other since they were in their young teens - little did they know that they both have had a change in their feelings toward each other.

Rush has been known as a womanizer but has recently changed his ways after watching his family members fall in love but also with the realization that his feelings toward Jayla may have moved past just being his best friend.

Rush has always taken care of Jayla by making sure she has her favorite gummy bears but also respects her enough to understand she knows her limits and will let her push herself - even when it kills her.

Listen as Rush and Jayla learn that while they are both world champion skiers in their own right, are they an even better team? Listen as Mr. Harrison does a great job in bringing the friendship and story of Jayla and Rush to life, although you may have to get used to the female voice like I did but it happens quickly.

I would love to have Rush Remington as my best friend (and possible lover...)!

My Thoughts on Slope of Love

This is definitely my top Remington book so far. I love best friends to lovers kind of books. I especially love it when I get a reformed player thrown in the mix. So this book was basically perfect for me. I loved Rush and Jayla. Their friendship was so awesome. They could share basically everything with each other, and fell in love amidst jealousy, injury, past hurts, and present obstacles of all kinds. I found myself smiling so many times during this story. And those are the kind that stick with me for a while. I'm so excited to read more books by Melissa Foster in hopes that I can experience more moments to smile.

Love on and off the Slope

This is a feel good story by Melissa Foster featuring Jayla and Rush. They have been best friends for years, and now take their relationship to the next level. I so enjoy how the best friends know each other inside and out. The author writes such endearing characters that have quirks and issues. They may not be perfect, but they are so good. I think its neat when a character matures infront of our eyes. The story is full of some great humor, realistic banter, and a heartwarming ending. Getting priorities was something I took away from the book. The imagery in the story is also spot on. Slope of Love is a standalone listen and part of a series. There are cameo appearances of other characters from books in the series, that only add to the story. BJ Harrison did an excellent job with his performance of Jayla, Rush and others. I will definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator. This was time well spent listening.

Great Friends who become more

I listened to the audiobook of Slope of Love by Melissa Foster and I truly enjoyed it right from the start. B. J. Harrison was the narrator and as always, I can picture the scene perfectly as he tells us their story. This story involves Jayla Stone and Rush Remington who are both Olympic gold medalist skiers. They have been best friends for a very long time and tell each other everything. Except one thing. Jayla has been in love with Rush for a long time and Rush has just recently done some soul searching and realized that what he needed was right in front of him the whole time. How to tell each other without ruining their friendship is the hard part. I can totally relate to this scene. As they continue to work together, training teenagers to learn to ski they both realize they can't keep their feelings from each other. When they do finally tell each other how they feel, it's amazing. I love their story and being able to relate in some level. That's exactly what draws me in.

Friends to Lovers

I love the friends to lovers scenario! There is a lot of introspection and time needed to work through it all. There is a moment where it all finally sets in and there is no looking back! Melissa is amazing at telling the whole story, but that moment is my favorite. Rush and Jayla have similar interests and amazing chemistry. I strongly recommend listening to this book!
