About this listen

Escaping from an angry drone graveyard with the help and sacrifice of one of her own kind, Alex finds herself in a fringe system populated by mankind, a species that would fear and hate her if they knew the truth.

Still, she cant wait to see the new sights and make more friends! She just has to be a little subtle about it... And maybe trade in some anti-matter nuclear warheads.

But faking it until you make it can lead to unforeseen consequences, and when those involve dropping megatons of munitions on a perhaps misunderstood alien species, the stakes can be raised even higher.

When placed as the only thing between a people about to be annihilated, can Alex turn away? Her choice might leave her with consequences she never dared imagine.

War is good for Business. Business depends on Diplomacy. Diplomacy warrants... Cakes and Kebabs?

This tale is one were the closer you are to the mc it looks like the more dire situations you’ll have to face. Unfortunately we are forced to say goodbye to many characters, and yet the tale is so well written we continue to look on to see the future of the rest.

Tragedy Realism

I wish its would have not ended in a cliff hanger and gave more information on some people and what they were doing right before the book ended

Well done charechters and story arc, with some non stanaldard twist, and multple set up for alterante branches

More complicated space opera than the cover art implies.

Well paced and solid all around. The Narrator truly delivered on this work! I rarely give all 5 stars but I felt this one delivered. Thank you!

A Great Read!

Cute series so far. Both 3 and 4 are available on Kindle, but I am looking forward to the audio books.

Looking foward to 3 and 4

I loved this one just as much as the first. I look forward to the next installment!

Can't wait for the next!

now that I have finished the second book, I'm hooked. why? because of character writing/interactions, and overall story.

this is still the same sci-fi series so you'll still be pelleted with unexplained abbreviations and techno babble, but it's worth sitting through.

where we ended up from where we started has been quite the ride.

the one actual critique I have is that the book does not really dive into the themes of the sci-fi tropics/tropes the book draws from. they are hinted at, mentioned even but not explored to any meanful depth

When I started the series I didnt like it

All right I'd been waiting on this since I finished the first book and I was not disappointed. This story goes to new and unexpected places and while I hate cliffhangers, I am seriously looking forward to the next installment.

A truly excellent tale!

Awesome second book. The narration was emotive with some character seperation, a few mispronounciations. I did NOT like a cliffhanger. Are the publishers so insecure of future sales to pull this crap? A 13 hour ride should have offered a stopping point. I would almost expect it frome a series of 4 hour books. Ok, rant is over. Great story, very good narration.

great adventure but....

All we need in life is cake and kabobs.

Seriously though. This was a well done addition to the series and I can't wait for more.

Fast and cohesive!
