About this listen

Rod Nelson is used to being someone's good time, and that's fine with him. Spending his days at his adult toy store, Rods-N-Ends, he never knows who he'll meet. The second Landon Harrison walks in, he has Rod's full attention. It seems as if Landon wants him too, so why won't the man jump in the sack with him already?

Landon never thought he'd return home to the town where memories lurk around every corner. He has to admit, Rod makes the adjustment a lot easier. He keeps Landon laughing. Despite the fierce attraction between them, he's not willing to risk his newfound friendship to get laid.

Neither man wants something serious, but the more they're together, the harder it is to keep their hands to themselves, until eventually they stop trying.

But flings between friends are never simple, and as they attempt to shift gears, diving into their first relationship, they're slammed with setbacks. If they want to truly move forward, before they hit the open road together, they're going to have to let go of a past that could make them crash and burn.

Contains mature themes.

Good story

I enjoyed the story. I've pretty much loved all the Riley Hart books. But I was turned off by the way Sean Crisden chose to give voice to Rod. High pitched, loud and nasally. Nothing sexy about that. But still, the story is a good one and I did listen to the entire thing.

Mature and Sexy

I really loved Rod and Landon’s story. It was sweet, sexy, and a mature story with a little bit of angst to make sure we were fully invested in these two.

These guys are fun and flirty, but I also loved that they talked, and pushed past the surface to build a friendship first. I appreciated that Landon demanded more than just sex from Rod. Though in someone ways they are opposite, they shared a love of spending time together. They also shared the terrible father lottery. It became a centre point of their story as they try and work through the baggage they’d been left with.

As expected from Riley, this is a well-crafted story that kept you engaged the whole way through.

I enjoyed the audiobook, narrated by Sean Crisden. Not my favourite, but still enjoyable.

Worth the listen!! hot hot hot and funny!

You will need to get pass Rod's character's voice. It can be annoying... but when you get used to it, you get it! That's how it's supposed to be. And then, you'll like it better than any other voice. Keep this in mind when you listen to this book. Imagine Rod as a twink with eyeliner. He does have a girly voice. He's not your typical masculine man, like Landon.

The story is quite interesting. A biker with a twink. Odd mix but they work well together. Their interaction is so funny and charming. I really enjoyed their bickering. Landon wants to be friends and Rod just wants to f**k. That's the start of the book. The intimate scenes are hot hot hot! Aren't they always with Riley Hart!

This book is definitely a good listen. I noticed other's comments where they don't like Rod's voice. Get pass this because the book is worth it. Enjoy!

Sweet story

Enjoyed story, however the narration of Rod’ s voice was a little disappointing. The rest of characters were above standard and the story line itself was good.

Don't love the reader, but a great series

Any additional comments?

The reading of Rod's voice is annoying, and makes it hard to like the character

Excellent narration!

I really enjoyed Landon and Rod's story. They were both likable and well developed characters. I loved Rod's quirkiness, especially the eyeliner. Sean is an excellent narrator with clear distinction between male/female voices and between Landon and Rod. I'm looking forward to listening to Justin and Drew's story.

Great story

I listened to the audiobook. This is a re read for me. It’s book 2 of this mm contemporary series. Rod owns a sex shop and Landon is a motorcycle mechanic. They both have problems but come together and learn from each other.

Sweet friends-to-lovers story.

I really love how the titles of the books in this series come into play. Sometimes a book's title is just that, a title, and it doesn't necessarily ever work itself into the story line. Other times it can be so obvious and even feel a little forced. But I think Riley did a great job of working the titles into the feelings of these storylines, particularly this one.

Neither Rod nor Landon is looking for much more than a casual good time, and maybe a friendship. But the more time these two opposites spent together the more apparent it became that something was simmering below the surface. I really enjoyed how their relationship progressed- how it moved from friends, to friends-with-benefits to something deeper, until they both finally realized where they were supposed to be.

It was all so new for both of them though, it definitely wasn't all unicorns and rainbows.

I really felt sad at times for Rod, who used humor to cover up his insecurities and feelings of inadequacies when it came to believing he was worthy of love. It broke my heart. But I loved how Landon called him on it when needed. Landon is terrific. He had his own issues but was so strong and caring.

This was a really sweet, funny, and at times emotional read. I loved that we got to catch up with Nick and Bryce, too. They're like the anchors of this series!

Sean's narration has been great. He's done an awesome job of differentiating all the characters, giving them their "own" voices.

Ride it out with 5 Star Riley Hart!

5+ Stars!! I F.Loved This Book!!

This is book two in the Crossroads series, and Riley Hart has written a brilliant book! This book has everything, two amazing MC, lots of chemistry, motorcycles, hot as hell sex, dirty talking, comedy, a very hot slow-burn, and supporting characters that we already love! What more could you want? This series is a must read for all! Rod Nelson, he is the life of the party always has a joke and isn't afraid to have a good time, he isn't looking for love only a good time and he has no trouble finding that. Something changes when Landon Harrison visits his adult toy store, for the third time in as many weeks looking for his favorite lube, Easy-Ride. Yes, he can admit he wants Landon.. and he wants him badly!

Landon, having just moved back home for his sisters wedding now finds himself living with his mom again after years of living on his own, this is an adjustment to say the least. Landon finds himself visiting Rods-and-Ends on a weekly basis, he finds himself drawn to the witty man who works behind the counter. Landon makes no apologies for his healthy sex-drive, he enjoys both males and females - but as he continues to get to know Rod he finds that he is enjoying their friendship so much he is afraid to let it progress to something more - he doesn't want to lose Rod.

As the sexual tension keeps building and these two MC become inseparable, they find they have a lot more in common besides wanting to jump each other. Landon and Rod both come to depend on each other and help each other out, such as Rod hooking Landon up with a connection to Bryce who is looking for a motorcycle mechanic and then Landon volunteering to teach Rod how to ride a motorcycle.. they really do become friends-before-lovers. This is not for all of Rod's trying to get them to sleep together, as he so eloquently puts it.. if they would just get it out of their system then they could be "just friends" -- but life never works out that way, does it?

When Landon finally gives in to Rod after fending him off for a while... these two are explosive!!

But what happens after they have sex? Will Landon now walk away? He has admitted he never stays friends with people he sleeps with? What about Rod, can he deal with yet another person turning their back on him? You will just have to get this book and find out.. and let me tell you it's an amazing ride!! So hang on... and come "Shift Gears" with Landon and Rod while Riley Hart keeps your heart racing to the ending!!

The audio-book of this story was amazing Sean Crisden did not disappoint with his flawless narration and storytelling ability. I would recommend Riley Hart or Sean Crisden to anyone who wanted a great story and perfect narration!

Understanding Feelings

The story is perfect... two people who were inadvertently searching for the time, place, and person to effectively move their lives forward to a place of love, laughter, and living. Landon and Rod searched each other’s desires, comforted each other’s fears, and in the end held each other in love. The journey was something tender with all the actions of erotic exploration. I very much enjoyed the story.
