Acerca de esta escucha

Dylan Sutton doesn't go looking for trouble, but it always seems to find him. After the devastating loss of his father, he travels across the country to deliver a letter to his dad's estranged best friend. But surely, he deserves a night of relaxation when he first gets to town, right? He sets his sights on the attractive older guy at the bar - except his almost-one-night-stand turns out to be the very man he's in town to see. Oops.

Clayton Turner has a nasty habit of either losing or hurting the people he cares about. After his partner died, he'd decided keeping to himself was the smartest life choice. He doesn't count on trouble stumbling into his life in the form of a sexy guy twenty years his junior...and for that guy to be linked to one of the most painful losses of Clay's past.

Fate steps in and Dylan gets stranded in Bailey Springs. He gets a job, and Clay can't stop himself from trying to help Dylan get on his feet. And Dylan? Well, Dylan can't seem to stop flirting with Clay. He tries, he really does...just about as much as Clay attempts not to like it. They couldn't be more different...or are they? Soon, Trouble and Sad Eyes realize they have a lot more in common than they thought, and once they land in bed together, there's no going back. Moving forward isn't any easier, though. Clay's always walked the straight and narrow, always followed all the rules. But what does he do when the only right path involves looking for trouble?

I loved this story. The characters were real as was their dialogue. The issues they faced were realistic and well handled by the author and the characters. Dylan and Clayton made a great couple and their love felt real and I knew they would make it. I loved how they complimented one another. And now I want to design men's underwear. ;)

This story was narrated by Michael Pauley. He brought the characters to life and captured Dylan's exuberance and his angst about it perfectly.

Realistic May-December romance

Loved the books, age gap is one of my favorite tropes to read. Plus anything narrated by Michael Pauley is an automatic yes for me.

So good.

I always enjoy Riley Hart's books and this one was no exception. I like age gap romances so that was one thing that drew me to this book. I like the connection that they had and what brought them together. While the reasons behind the falling out between Clay and Dylan's dad were understandable, I felt that each of them should have reached out to one another over the years. It seems like most of the blame was put onto Dylan's dad about it, but I just didn't see it that way. That kind of bugged me.
Anyways, Dylan and Clay were both broken/flawed in a way, trying to overcome their own obstacles. While they both helped each other through overcoming their fears, they each had to truly work it out on their own. I liked that about these characters. They pushed each other to better themselves. At the end, I felt like they took a big step backwards instead of growing stronger together, but everything worked out. I would have enjoyed a bigger epilogue though. Wondering if this will be a series...

Another great book from Riley Hart and terrific performance by Michael Dean. I like the age gap books but it can be hard to find without daddy kink and though there’s some joking, it’s not a daddy kink book. In case that’s something you want or don’t want.

4 stars for this. It’s really good, but not terrific.

I liked the MCs a lot, but they carried so much baggage and it was a rush job to explain and (sort of?) relieve them of their burdens.

I admit I wasn’t so sold on the “it doesn’t matter” 20 year age gap.

It would matter to me.

A lot.

And I wasn’t seeing them having a lot in common to overcome said gap.

Except sex which – 45 years old and still banging like a 25 year old – god bless ya!

It was a bit dark and I was hoping we could delve more deeply into some of that darkness but it was kind of swept away pretty easily. No elbow grease, just a quick Hoover situation.

I wanted to know more about April and the love triangle and I wanted to know more about Gordon. Also did Dylan not have any of his own lovers to think back upon?

In any case, it was good, kept my interest, but not great and I know Riley can write great stories.

Audio

Michael Pauley is a really reliable and good narrator. He’s easy to listen to and does a nice job differentiating the characters without giving anyone an accent. He makes it easy for the story to take center stage and that’s a great attribute for a narrator to have.

This is a good way to enjoy this story and I recommend it!

another well written love story. Riley Hart is my favorite author. I own many of her books and have Read or heard them more than once. I love that she takes the time to make sure the stories are well written and not just throw a story together to make money.

I loved this story of Dylan and Clay. I believe there are so many love stories like Dylan and Clay that people like myself, are unaware these instances happen more common in our modern society. This gives me hope that one day I may meet my Dylan.

Beautiful Love Story!

This is a very simple story about two people coming together. Clay happens to be Dylan's dad's best friend. Oh oh. Hence the age difference of 20 years. This story is so beautifully written that they work through the age difference. I just loved Clay's maturity in guiding Dylan on the right path as he continuously blamed himself of things. They are perfect together.

Narration is PERFECT!!! Michael Pauley does an amazing job once again.

This is a cute hot story. Enjoy!

Looking For Trouble was a great book. I enjoyed the chemistry between Clay and Dylan. I really enjoyed how Dylan just wanted to be there for Clay. To help him move past his demons.
Michael Pauley nailed the narration like always. He brings such life to the books he narrates.

Sweet, fluffy romance
