An amazing debut!
I had no idea this was this author's first published novel -- and that's a good thing. Time travel stories can get murky, and Huffmire also takes time to carefully weave in lore which had to make it even trickier. Towards the end there was so much jumping that I started ignoring the dates and following the story, but in this case it still worked.
Even though I enjoyed trying to match bits and pieces to well-known fairy tales, I also enjoyed the story itself for what it was.
This is my first time hearing Rachel White narrate and she knocked it out of the park IMO.
There are signs of a sequel or two by the end, and while this story stands extremely well on its own, I'd be down to continue the journey.
I took a shot and requested a free review copy of this audiobook from the publisher, and I'm very glad they allowed me the opportunity. I sincerely recommend this listen!

Shattered Snow Book Review
This book was really interesting. I loved the sci-fi twist to this retelling. This to date is one of the best Snow White retellings I read. It combined fantasy, history and science fiction into one incredible story. The character development throughout this book was perfection. I loved how deep the characters personalities went and it was easy to see what made them tick. The plot development was mind-blowing. I loved how the author used real history and made it look like time travel was the cause of the incidents. This plot was complex and full of plot twists. It was scary listening to the audiobook, not know what twist you were going to be hit with. I loved the narration of this book. The narrator was able to make a scene tense or happy whenever needed. I loved the different voice combinations for each character. Overall, this was a brilliant book. I loved listening to it and finding out what was going to happen next. I was gifted this audiobook and am leaving my honest opinion

Fantastic mix of sci-fi and fantasy
It took me a little while to get into this book, but that’s the norm for me. Once I got into the characters and started recognising the Snow White elements in it, I was hooked. Such a creative and enthralling take on the fairytale! Like a cross between Timeline and Artemis Fowl. Great book! I want to read the next one and I want a physical copy of this one. Also, the narrator. The NARRATOR!!! I am so picky about narrators and this one hit it out of the park!! The different accents were spot on and she somehow made a German accent sound sweet and gentle. I’d love to hire her for my own audiobooks!

New twist on classic fairy tale
I’ll admit I wasn’t quite sure what this book was about at first other than time travel, but as I got into the story and it became more relevant to the plot, I really did enjoy this book and finished it within two days. It’s sc-fi twist on very well known classic tale. I liked the character build up as you realize who each character represents in the tale. And the narrator did excellent job on different character voices and accents of each. I definitely recommend this book to all it is definitely worth credit in my opinion. I was given this audiobook for free in exchange for honest review which I absolutely always do rather I liked it or not and I definitely liked this one.

The story was interesting, entertaining and intelligently written. The vocal narration was amazing (So many accents! ) and very engaging! I usually don't go for "rewritten fairytales", but this one actually makes the original story make more sense. Young teens to adults will enjoy this. Well done!

A Excellent Story of Time Travel!
I purchased and listened to this Book on Audible books!!
Narrator does a Great job with the characters voices and the Storyline.
This was a very good story and I thoughly enjoyed it. This is a Story with Several MCs and depending on where you are in the timeline.

Excellent Story!
Fantasy usually isn't my genre of choice, but I loved this book! Shattered Snow is a truly mind-shattering experience. The plot is so complex and intricate, yet it is told is such a clear and captivating way with so many twists that keep you reading to the next chapter and the next. The author is incredibly talented at creating such a unique and thrilling retelling of a common and familiar fairy tale. Plus, the audiobook reader does a great job with all the different accents, making listening to the story that much more enjoyable.

🎧 Audiobook:
@rachel.v.white , the audiobook narrator nailed it! All the accents and acting was very well done, I really enjoyed it and felt as if the characters were really there.
-The only pet peeve I really have when it comes to audiobooks is when the narrator is a boy/girl and when they do opposite gender
characters, they make them sound like poorly casted cartoons, and this audiobook thankfully didn’t have that problem, it was so well done. Highly recommended, it’s worth it.
📖 The book/story itself:
-Story is clean, not a lot of violence, no alcohol or drug use. Perfect book for my edgy/clean fans! #teamedgyclean
-Such a super creative and well researched story, not only on history itself, but the source material and fairytale itself.
-The writing was so beautiful and unique. The story will truly captivate you and pull you in like you’re there.
-I’m personally not a huge fan of Snow White, but I really enjoyed this one and I’m excited to read the next one.
-Highly recommend for fans of the lunar chronicles, any and all fairy tale retellings, once upon a time, and/or ruby red.

A Riveting Take On Fairy Tales
This story definitely was a pleasant surprise. I thought I would enjoy it but I did not realize how much I would enjoy it!
It took me a bit to get into this story but once I was in, I was in. I loved the take on Snow White and the twists that allowed it to play out similarly to the fairy tale. I also loved Ammond's solution in the end.
The narrator is wildly talented at accents. I enjoyed her voices for these characters. She truly brought them to life.
I am so excited to see what happens in the next book!
