Publisher's summary

He'd never really be all right again, but it was what he deserved after the war. He was broken; he knew it. Life messed you up, and all that was left to do was the best you can to survive.

Yeah, he was messed up, but so was she, worse than he could ever imagine. Any chance that two people so shattered could help each other to heal and learn to love? Especially when one is human - and one is not.

Tamesine had a past that she couldn't remember, and was afraid to try, because nearly 800 years ago, tragedy drove her beyond sanity. Now, she wanted to be well and whole again.... and in L.A. the universe provided an answer. He walked into her dreams, literally.... a stranger, human, no less.... and that should never have been possible. But there he was, in as much need as she was. Pain had ripped them apart from their paths. Perhaps they had been brought together for a greater destiny.

Troubled Souls!

I really enjoy this series and I've had my favorites before this one but as soon as I realized this was Tamesine's story, well I knew I was in for a treat. Of course this story has become my favorite now. I have listened to all & audiobooks and I remember Tamesine in the other stories and how she was and acted in the past until she was taken in and began to bond with one of the Firsts baby boy. Her whole world changed and she began to be a respectful person and the vampire we all knew she could be. She's still not ready to go home and is working in a diner working as a waitress trying to find herself before going home. She meets Mark who comes is in Frank's diner to eat one night and she feels this tug or pull about him. She thinks he might be a vampire to but he's not. Somehow at night while sleeping they find each other in a dream and this makes her persistent in having to talk to him so she does. No human should ever be able to dream walk with her. She believes it's destiny that has brought the two together. But the story is only beginning because the pasts comes back to haunt Tamesin and it almost takes them all down with her. So many things we learn and one amazing surprise that we learn at the end of the story. A story that has it all, a must listen to story, a series that you must get now!

Pyper Down doesn't disappoint. She does an amazing job and she continues to get better with every story she narrates. She does a superb job with distinguishing each characters accents. She kept me immersed in this story from start to finish. I highly recommend this story and I will check out other stories Pyper has narrated because I would love to hear her in a different story. Overall, a perfect 5 star rating!

Fantastic Story!

Here we are in Book 7 of C L Quinn's First Blood Series - Shattered Days. So far, I have read / heard books 1 thru 7 and loved each and every one of them! C L Quinn kicks butt at writing vampire books!

Shattered Days, book 7 - I loved this book! It is loaded with tons of action and paranormal suspense and lots of hot sex too! The First Bloods, This book is Tam's (Tamesine) story. Remember in past books, Tam was mentally ill after going thru so much torture and turmoil. Then one day her own twin tried to kill her. Now it is time for Tam to face her past and deal with it head on. Tam not only discovers everything that happened to her, but she also finds love. An exciting, magical love with Mark. Mark is a normal human who is also hurting internally after his return home from the war. Mark was the only survivor in his group and blames himself for everything. Together, Mark and Tam help each other see what happened and learn how to fix it.

There are so many twists and turns in this book, that would please everyone. From kidnapping, to torturing and new drugs to take vampires down. The author C L Quinn never let's us down in her books. How does she do it? Every book this author has written I have loved and desire to read even more. The plot in this book is superb! The stories just keep getting better and better! The narrator, Pyper Down is superb! OMG. this woman reads to us flawlessly. Her accents (many accents) are authentic. She has french accents and Irish accents to name a few. I am floored every time I hear another one of these First Blood books! Total genius. I would love to see these books become movies! Always 5 star books and ALWAYS total entertainment!

Even if you have read the book, try it again in audio - it's like a brand new story!
