I am literally on the edge of my seat waiting until it does!!!
Basically it's like this....
Brenda K Davies is a BLOODY BRILLIANT AUTHOR.....
The narrator, MEG PRICE has FABULOUS acting skills, secondary to those of Tavia Gilbert in my opinion & she conveys the characters feelings & emotions brilliantly!
I love how these books (apart from #1 obvs) start at the EXACT moment where last book ended. BKD FLAWLESSLY & SEAMLESSLY connects each book to the last which Is just One of the MANY, MANY things I love about. "The Shadow Realms," novels.
BKD has also done a fantastic job of building the intensity of each book in this series & THIS audiobook had THE MOST intense scenes in it So far to date, which definately kept me on the edge of my seat, At timea i was even holding my breath and at others, my breath was stolen away from me!
In my most humble opinion, "The Shadow Realms," just keep on getting BETTER & BETTER as we see how Lexi & Cole's powers are progressing & growing, just like their love for one another is also!! (*Sidenote; why can't men IRL act like Cole does towards Lexi ?!?! ahhh we can only dream!!)
We also get afew more side characters in this audiobook which I liked!

Who willl the traitorous "rat," be ?!?!
Will the Prophesy that we learn about in this book, a Prophesy that was told to children in all the realms in order to scare them into behaving, will more of it come into fruition ?!?!
What will happen when Lexi comes face to face again with a dragon?? (I really hope she gets to ride one in #5!!)
BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, Who will live & who will die? I need to know ALL these things, ASAP!!!!!
I MOST DEFINITELY HIGHLY RECOMMEND ANY/ALL of BKD'S audiobook/books if you love EPIC fantasy, the supernatural & EPIC romance .... But,
for me, THIS MY MOST FAVORITE series that BKD Has written so far!! (my first experience of BKD'S very talented writing skills & brilliant imaginagion was when I listened to the whole "Vampire Awakenings," series, which was immediately followed by, "The Alliance"
(*Sidenote: I can not wait for the next audiobook in that series to be released eirher!!l) - & then most thankfully i stumbled across this gem of an audio book series.
If you are reading this review & you haven't listened to/read the other 3 books in this series then I HIGHLY suggest that you do start at #1.
make sure that you DO listen to "THE SHADOW REALMS,' bc it is, MOST DEFINATELY ONE OF, if not THE most AMAZING audiobook series that I have EVER heard in my whoke 40 years of being on this planet !!!

Love this series!
This is really just a great series and I've breezed through all four books because I couldn't wait to see what happened. I think one of the things I like most are the two main characters. The guy is an alpha but not a complete verbally abusive d-bag like most of the alphas in these kinds of series. He's a genuine good guy and love Lexi to no end. Lexi is strong but also very real and has fears like everyone else, but definitely not a whiner. I hate whiners. I can't wait for the next book.

That’s was time to stop with this series
Tried to stick with it. But couldn’t finish book 4. The story is full of monotonous repeating statements over and over and over. And when I looked ahead and saw there were 6 more (at least) it was time to dump this. The story had potential but it is an obvious ruse to exploit a lot of money for a story that could have been told in one book. I’m quite mad at myself for buying any of these. Does audible have a return policy for utter garbage?

Way too long winded…
Brenda has many books so much better than this. I’m really not sure what happened with this series. The long winded inner monologues and wordy extended irrelevant scenes have left me confused. Especially the authors insistence with characters repeating themselves over and over again.
I’m dumbfounded, Brenda’s so much better than this!
I like the performers variety of voices but it has to be played at 1.3-1.4x speed just to keep the stories continuity intact.

Great story, exciting to listen to
I do enjoy this story overall. I think at times details are explained multiple times which gets a little repetitive but it didn’t take away from my overall love of the story and characters.
