About this listen

The first semester is ending. It's time to take on the Tower!

The excursion was a mess. Sal's trust in his team is at rock bottom from the actions of another in the final fight. He now needs to enter the Tower and fight demons with the same person who betrayed him.

As if that wasn't enough, he's pretty sure the former Super-Rookie and wonder kid on his team is actually a ticking time bomb, just waiting to explode.

Faced with the accusation that he's squandering his power, Sal is forced to question what type of Hero he wants to become. He's already pushing the limits of Mythcrafting, but if he's to really live up to his potential, it's time for him to focus on the ability he was born with: Skill Master.

The first semester is coming to an end, and the race to become a part of the Saviour class is on. With only a short amount of time to prepare for the Tower, Sal will need as much help as he can get to have a chance of success.

It's time for Sal to start creating a whole new weave...

Narrated in duet style.

This is SO good! I’m going to re-listen to it now.

So good! I won’t give anything away and I’ll just say- this series is easily becoming a fast favorite and this latest installment just made me love the characters and story that much more. Looking forward to the next book(please let it come out soon!)

Loved it!

Another fantastic installment of quest academy!! Pacing was on point. Character development was perfect. The story arcs were well thought out with plenty of foreshadowing for future books. The performance was excellent as well. I am really looking forward to the next book!

So good

I absolutely love this book and series. I want Barry Francis to be my friend. I cannot wait for the next book. This was done so well, the author really does a great job. I can’t say enough nice things.

Immersive tower battle experience

Started a little slow but once they hit the tower it easily became the best of the 3 books so far. The slow build up makes complete sense toward the end and leaves a whole quest world and life waiting to be explored

Much more book 1 than book 2

I really loved book one but did not love the drama in the second book as much. I was worried about which way this book would go, but was very happy it was much more of what I loved from book 1 (crafting/skillmaster) than the drama of book 2.

loved it

Enjoy the balance of humor, character interplay, and unexpected side story. Well thought out storyline through the first three books.
Excellent vocal talent for the audio book with seemless banter back-and-forth, and vocal tones making the story better and keep you listening longer.
Don't change either of the narrators on future books, they're perfect.

Quality continues

Quest Academy remains perhaps the best written crafter-focused progression fantasy series. The character development has increased and the action was ramped up in this book.

Nice conclusion to the first semester

The book is a little slow at first, but that changes a bit as Sal gets more into his Skill master ability. I was wondering how he would be able to practice his ability to actually master it and the tool is pretty cool. The book leans more on the crafting side, which is fine, but I hope to see more of the other classes and see how Sal grows. The entire tower part I thought was great. As usual the narrators were great and the acting with the conflict in the tower was perfect. I look forward to seeing where Sal and his friends go from here.

Sal's constant pettiness towards Erica was gross.

I have defended Sal in previous reviews, but in this book i lost a lot of respect for him as a character. Look i get that Erica isn't exactly easy to get along with, but she also didn't do anything wrong. Litterally everyone says that she did the right thing, right up until they realize that it was Sal whom she used, then suddenly they are all outraged and practically tripping over themselves to punish her and coddle him. Then Sal starts taunting her about taking away her powers, because as he sees it no one will go against the great Mythcrafter and Skill master. It gets pretty damn gross. also his capitalist mind set is getting rather scummy. I know the author seems to be setting up a redemption arc for her, which is great. However, to me Sal himself needs more people who will stop coddling him and using kid glvoes and actually tell him the honest truth. Cause currently Erica is the only one who isn't treating him like a precious breakable egg. Sigh, sorry for this rant, but watching a bunch of people giving obviously performative dressing downs to Erica while Sal smirks and threatens in the back ground was serisly pissing me off. Heck She even told him that she felt uncomfortable about him oggling her, which he DEFINITELY was, and his oh so mature response was to ridicule her for it. Feels like he is becoming just as arrogant and entitled as Brofy.
That rant aside it was fairly good. needed more Divinity, but all books need more of her!!!!!
