Solid sci-fi. Stooge power.
Great book. It's got lots of laughs and some great action. The character development was a little lacking and I felt like he got away from the plot a few times, but overall it was fantastic. The interactions between Blake and the ship's AI, and the crazy Russian scientist, are the best.
I can't wait for the next book, Jamestown.

Very entertaining, great start
Wow! I really liked this book and will be looking for the follow ups. I’m not sure how to describe the book without giving the whole story away. Let’s just say it addresses everything from alien abductions to the lost colony of Roanoke. Although there were some details that could’ve been better explained it was still a very interesting and entertaining.
The narrator was very good and complimented the storyline with his character voices and tones. Well done!!

Start your new scifi listen here now!
Coming off the Walking Dead Books, I was looking for something Scifi + Southern to keep the flow. This completely follows that. It has an amazing cast of characters and Rhys David did the characters justice. It is progressive a smooth without being wonky in any way, so you can expect it not to jerk you back to a place you don't belong. The whole Roanoke lost colony thing was really cool.

Great story and Narration
This book is well written with story opening and progressing smoothly. Narration is done well with excellent vocal variations. I have to say there are a lot of characters in this story (for my taste) and I had to put some effort to keep track of them at first, but it was well worth it. Looking forward to book 2!

Great start to a promising series.
it has been a while since I looked forward to the second book in a series as much as I am looking forward to following this group around. In the tradition of the Omega Force or Aurora series, this group of heroes is very captivating and easy to find a relatable character.
the universe being created is nuanced and interesting, with lots of straight forward super-human battles combined with exposition to expose the world. book is very well performed and was overall a very enjoyable listen. I very much look forward to the next installment.

Will they be able to save planet earth?
The author successfully created an entertaining story that will keep you interessed.
Three strangers get abducted from earth to save the planet from an alian empire. The main character get to share his mind with an AI which is integrated in a advanced alien starship. The two others are a war pilot and a crazy scientist. They are sent on a mission to ensure the survival of the human race.
You can imagine that the plots aren't dull at all.
This was my first time hearing Mr. David Rhys's voice and I really enjoyed it.
If you are this genre of book, I would strongly recommend.

I wanna go too!
Beam me up and let me go with this crew. You'll want to be right there in the middle of all their adventures. There's enough action to keep your heart pumping, some awww moments, and the perfect amount humor. When it ended I was hoping the next release was out already. sadly, I must wait.
Mr. Bayly created an awesome beginning to this series,, becoming a favorite right from the start.

It's A Fun Ride
The characters are great and the reading performed by Rhys Davis is really good. He adds dimension and soul to each character and it really helps you get into the story.
The story itself pulls you along nicely. Little things pop up that make you think, "Wow. How do they make this stuff up?" I enjoyed that. I like the personal insights about the main character being an army vet. It's obviously written by someone in the know on that. The little key phrases that only someone who enlisted would know and how they feel.

Good story, interested in more
A good listen for sure. Nice blend of fantasy and science. Comedic relief is on point and not overused. The story gets rolling pretty quick but doesnt feel rushed. As a person who values the "versatility" of certain words in the English language, I busted out laughing a few times. You'll know 'em when you hear 'em. Looking forward to more!
The narration is done well too. Not over-the-top, but manages a nice versatility of voices as well as not sounding monotone or tired.
