An untimely tempest transports two miserable and lost souls to England's Abbey Wood where they stumble across each other’s paths. Lady Jane, a battered woman and accused murderess - Laird Alexander, fleeing his keep after blaming himself for the accidental death of his wife. Both souls must heal their wounds. Both souls have reason to keep their identities hidden. This misshapen pair discovers each needs the other - though neither is willing to admit dependence. Alexander must return to his kin and resume his laird's mantle. Lady Jane must clear her name and find forgiveness. But before healing can begin, it is essential they learn to trust…and love.

Which character – as performed by Dave Gillies – was your favorite?
No one does a Scottish accent better than a scots man. Dave is great.Any additional comments?
You can't fight destiny! Living all alone in a small cottage with her dog as her only companion, Lady Jane fears someone will return her to her husband's home and put her on trial for murder. A woman with a dark secret, learning how to care for herself without all the privileges she once knew, finds a Highlander badly beaten and near death on her step.
Laird Alexander feels responsible for his wife's death and his newborn son is a constant reminder of his dead wife. Needing time alone, he sails off without any true destination in mind. Alexander finds himself on English soil, badly beaten and left for dead. As Alexander continues to heal and Lady Jane continues to care for him, love begins to blossom between them. Destiny has it's own plans for these two lost souls, and soon find themselves in each other's arms. Seeking comfort, refuge, or just wanting to feel alive, becomes an experience neither one of them can forget or deny. I loved this story. I was on the edge of my seat with excitement. An absolute must read.
