About this listen

D.E.D. Exorcists is the latest Augmented Reality mobile game focused on capturing, collecting, and training teams of Digitally Energized Demons. For an ordinary college student like Henry, who has always loved monster-taming RPGs, it looks like the perfect game. At least, until he downloads it.

Now, the monsters are real.

Henry finds himself forcibly recruited into the very real D.E.D. Exorcists: a shadow organization capable of capturing, training, and subduing the real-life demons that are invading Earth. These creatures’ powers and abilities are beyond Henry’s wildest dreams, as he’s yanked out of his mundane life and into the world of magic, monsters, and dark secrets.

In his new role as an Exorcist, Henry must use every ounce of his monster training know-how, garnered from a lifetime of gaming, to strengthen his D.E.D., and protect his city.

But his new life comes with a heavy cost. The Exorcists may not be all they seem. Danger lurks in the shadows all around him, and Henry quickly finds himself questioning who, and what, he can trust.

A lot of information

Unique story and excellent MC but there’s so much going on in this first book. I still recommend it but the author put so many different mechanics early on that it felt almost rushed.

Excellent book

D.E.D Exorcist

If you are fan of monster taming games/books, or if you just enjoy a fun, well written story. Then this book is for you. Even if you're not into monster taming games, like me, this is still a great book. Enjoyable and likeable characters, and a great story. The narration is excellent. I recommend checking it out.

Persona

This book is practically Persona. I LOVE PERSONA. Without spoiling the story, people are able to "capture" D.E.Ds, which are practically Personas and they fight with them. The Performance was well done but the friend J.J's voice annoyed the $#^t out of me. I felt the story was kind of a Fanfic knock off or new episode of Persona, which was interesting but not what i was expecting. Overall, it was an entertaining listen. 4 out of 5 stars.

What a great start for this new series!

Getting this book was kinda a no brainer for me, as I'd read Dungeon Core Online and really enjoyed it! Even though I hadn't ever heard Austin Rising narration before my FB group assured me that he was all right. And I'm definitely glad I got the audiobook. It was great. Although I felt that calling the demons D.E.D. (Digitally Energized Demons) was just a contrived gimmick because really Demons are Demons after all, Energized or not!
So go ahead grab the audiobook and see if you qualify and can join up to the D.E.D team and fight for earth and save it from becoming just another stepping stone on the Demon path becoming just another lifeless orb in the sky.

Awesome

This one has a strong persona/ atlus games vibe with how the demon work and progress, so if you like those types of games you will probably like the book, my only complaint would be how the director told Henry to not reveal his potential but she went and told everyone and their mothers his potential that was irritating to say the least. but overall amazing story and can't wait for book 2

Decent but has issues

MC is annoying makes dumb choices from time to time and is a total whimp. Honestly this world and story premise is very promising it's a pity that it seems to be wasted on this MC and sub par wrighting I can only hope the wrighting and MC gets gets better as this story continues.

The MC is kinda dumb...

The MC is kinda dumb, which makes this quite a frustrating read...
The story isn't interesting enough that I can overlook this dumbness either...
Also, the pseudo-science explanations really rub me the wrong way...
