Baby is Coming!

We are formed by little scraps of wisdom - Umberto Eko. I love and agree with it, although the scraps need not be little! Times are changing and there are now higher percentages of stay-at-home dads! We, as people, are becoming more aware of a mother’s needs. Learn about the intimate changes your partner is about to go through every month and during the different trimesters. Try to be open with your feelings. Women want emotional support and a strong emotional connection. Listen to the development of your baby as it grows. I found this part fascinating. I didn’t enjoy my partner’s lack of awareness or care during pregnancy. However, times have changed, so now you can be there for her. “Pregnancy Guide for Men” is sure to calm your fears about what’s going on with your partner's or wife’s body, and how to care for her and the pregnancy.

Best Guide For me during Wife Pregnancy

Rarely has anyone addressed the impact of pregnancy and beginning fatherhood as effectively as this wonderful new book, despite the fact that many books have been written about pregnancies and how women should prepare for all the phases leading up to giving birth and subsequently caring for the new infant. "Becoming a parent is a monumental and life-changing step in anyone's life," the introduction declares. Although we may know people who are parents, nothing can completely prepare us for the miracle that is pregnancy, childbirth, and parenthood until we're in the midst of it. Making the decision to become parent takes your relationship to the next level. This book steps in to close that knowledge gap.

The authors of this book follow the life adventure from the moment it is discovered that pregnancy has arrived, how to plan for the birth, understanding possibilities such as miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, and other complications, and then escorts us through each trimester - week by week (cleverly divided into how is baby, how is mom, how is dad), in an organised and reader-friendly manner.

The book concludes with new dad hacks, which offer insightful advice on how to make living as a new parent suitable and educational. A book for both men and women starting out in parenting, as well as a very helpful and approachable handbook for new parents. Recommended.

A great resource for expecting dads/couples!

This is a great audiobook to listen to with your partner as you're expecting a child. Although it is a very exciting time, it can be incredibly nerve-racking and we often feel unprepared. That's why it's great to have resources such as this book to help ease those nerves. The author provides a lot of great information and tips, some you might've never thought of, such as emotional planning and checking in with yourself. It's not filled with medical jargon, which I appreciated. I would definitely recommend this book to any expecting dads/couples!

An extremely thorough guide

This book leaves no stone unturned! From pre-pregnancy, through the trimesters and every single month, to post-pregnancy, it does an excellent job of preparing the soon-to-be father. The narration is soothing and easy to listen to. Definitely worth the money for 4 1/12 hours of enlightening, entertaining information.

A great resource for the new dad

It’s vital that men get involved from the beginning, since they have no way of experiencing pregnancy first-hand. This book has a lot of facts and helpful tips to help teach them to be more supportive of their partners. I like that “compassion” was used as a way to understand their partners emotionally, physically, and mentally. Also, bringing postpartum depression into the conversation is crucial to understanding immediate and long-term reactions to this life-changing event. An all-around great resource for the new dad.

Great pregnancy guide for men and women

This is a great book for expectant parents to read. It is very detailed with information about what changes occur with the baby on a month by month basis. There is also detailed information about things that can go wrong in pregnancy and how to help your partner. I really like the section describing what to pack in your bag to take to the hospital. Overall great pregnancy guide. I highly recommend this book.

Don't Forget About Dad

Everyone's always so focused on mom, and sometimes we forget that dad is going through a lot too. Listen to this book from beginning to end, but then, listen to each month as it approaches. It's one of the things I loved about this book. It takes you down the timeline from beginning to end, and I'm certain that each month that approaches, a refresher of what to expect that month will be helpful. Ultimately, this book will not only help dad with everything he's going through, but it will help him support mom too. Well done!

Roadmap for the Dad-to-Be!

Do you feel ready to become a dad for the first time? Well, if a baby is on the way, congratulations! And you definitely need this book! Even if you feel somewhat confident in your parenting abilities, you know you have lots to learn, because with each new season of life, we need advice from those who have already been there.

And this book’s got you covered! It breaks down pregnancy into month-sized segments, telling you what is happening in the baby’s development and your wife or partner’s body during each month. There is plenty of scientific and medical information throughout the book, as well as tips as down-to-earth as saving money when buying for the baby, the types of bras a nursing mom needs, sharing the news with family, maintaining romance and intimacy, and packing a hospital bag.

I’ll never be a dad, but if I’m ever a mom, I will definitely ask my husband to read this book. It would be a great conversation-starter for the many topics partners would need to discuss and work on together. The author’s approach and willingness to bring up what could seem awkward will go a long way towards making such conversations lighthearted and productive.

Not only does the author encourage you to be a great husband or partner to your baby’s mother, he gives you dozens (maybe hundreds) of practical suggestions of exactly how you can support her in specific situations or when she is dealing with different emotions.

You have taken on lots of responsibility in becoming a father, and this book will not give you any free passes on shirking your important role. Yet at the same time, you are not expected to be a superhero or get it all right. The author wisely and graciously acknowledges that dads are sometimes ignored in books about pregnancy and having a new baby. As a dad, you have emotions and struggles and new challenges as well, even though the baby is not growing in your belly. So you are encouraged to be honest about your feelings and needs in the whole process and take care of yourself so you can be there for your partner and be the best new dad you can possibly be!

Fatherhood is your new adventure! This book can be the roadmap to guide you around every new turn of the pregnancy and new baby season. Buy it today!
