About this listen

An army forty thousand strong is clamoring at the gates for human blood, and there is little hope of reinforcements. The Sacred Kingdom’s strongest paladin, Remedios, leads the defense of the city, but even she cannot stem the tide on her own. Despite the dire circumstances, the unimaginably powerful King of Darkness has refused to lend a hand for fear of depleting his magical energy right when he needs it to defeat Jaldabaoth once and for all. Time is running out for the defenders if they can’t figure out a way to survive on their own...!

Neia was the main character

A hail the King of Darkness!
Great listen, loved the characters and their interactions. My favorite story arc as of rn. Will keep going with the series to see where it goes.

Fantastic again

Chris's performance is always so good. The story is still going strong. It's book 13. So if you liked the other 12, you'll love this one too.

Much better than Volume 12

These books just aren’t the same without Aines’ panicked internal monologue, and then inadvertently being viewed as a genius strategist while acting randomly. I’m glad this book returned to the successful formula of the others, vol. 12 was horrible.

Chris is best

Chris brings this story alive. An already amazing story exemplified by the narrator. This is a definite no brainer to use a credit on. Bravo.

overlord

was in a overlord drought. love this serious. while the voice narration is great, it could be made better by getting a female to voice some of the females. not taking anything away from how it's done dude is great.

Overlord at its best and darkest

If you had any doubts about who the baddies of this story are. This volume will spell it out for you.

Without getting into spoilers, this volume has some of the most tense and graphically violent battles I’ve ever seen. I’m curious about how they are going to adapt all of this in the upcoming movie.

It left an impression back when I read the LN and the experience was only enhanced by Chris Guerrero’s performance.

This is Overlord at its peak. Intelligent world building and incredibly dark themes spliced with humorous moments to remind us of the absurdity of this whole scenario. Can’t wait for the next volume.
