Publisher's summary

For Noah Vines, death isn't the end. It's a weapon.

After standing around in the afterlife for thousands of years, Noah is all out of patience. When the opportunity to steal a second chance at living arises, he doesn’t hesitate.

Reincarnated into the body of a dying magic school professor, Noah finds that he took more than just a second chance. He got infinite. Every time he dies, his body reforms.

Lives are a currency, and Noah Vines is rich.

With countless variations of runic magic to discover and with death serving as only a painful soul-wound rather than a final end, Noah finally has a chance to wander the lands of the living once more.

This time around, he plans to get strong enough to make sure that he never has to wait around in the afterlife again.

Don't miss the next hit Progression Fantasy series from Actus, bestselling author of My Best Friend is an Eldritch Horror. Featuring a strong, intelligent protagonist, a detailed runic magic system, loads of power progression, and so much more.

Finally an actual portal fantasy without LitRPG elements

I’ve waited for so long to find an interesting and high quality portal fantasy that I thought it wont happen. But no, it is here. I absolutely love when MC is from our world gets into the one with magic.
Noah as an MC is great. He’s kind, smart and driven. And magic system in this book is very interesting. Some of its elements I would consider even unique. Which is pretty hard to accomplish.
I definitely recommend this to anyone who loves easy fantasy read

Fantastic

Recently picked up this, and anothwr book from an author I dodn't know on an Audible 2 for 1 sale. The other was awful, but this more than made up for it - an interesting magic system, compelling characters, and a setting I'm hoping to see a lot more of in book 2. Speaking of, the next three volumes are already up for pre-order, so not a huge wait there. Give it a try!

Cool magic system

The rune magic system is cool and the characters aren’t bad. I liked the story and will definitely be getting the next book that being said I’m not hooked on the people.
I think my problem with them was just a lack of development. While there is a couple of personal growth moments they are all somewhat one dimensional. We know the MC was a teacher but little else. You actually know more about the demon than you do him.
He sucks at waiting and drops various wisdom bombs through out, but how or why? It just leaves me wondering.
Still damn good story and narration.

Awesome magic system. Easy to understand but full of possibilities.

loved everything in the story, world building extremely limited so far though, MC appears to have little interest in learning anything but magic so far in his new world.

I’m down or this

Was not sure at the beginning but the length and content got me. I do hope the magic systems get explained a little better in the next book

out of all of his books and series, my best friend is an Eldritch horror is one of my favorites and I do highly recommend it and this has the exact same tone and feeling. assuming the other books in this series are as good as this one. it can easily take top spot for me. thank you so much! actus keep up the good work! can't wait to see what's next

Not the cliche fire and sword MC

It's a very well written first novel that has we the MC something other than the same old fire and sword. To be more precise, fire is still involved but Noah's power is more volcanic eruption/natural disaster. I love it. The magic system is very intricate and satisfying, too. It's similar to but different from the donghua (Chinese anime) Quanzhi Fashi and I love that too.

The MC also has a sword, but it's only used for flying at the moment. I hope it stays that way but who knows. The flying sword is also very cultivation novel and I love that, too.

This first novel has many awesome components and even better supporting characters. From Noah's two students to one of the teachers that hate him most and even a 'monster's these characters are very fleshed out and their goals and secrets run deeper than first believed. Book two is an instant buy. I just hope the magic combos stay fascinating and the plot keeps going strong.
