About this listen

The Droods are all about control, making people do what they're told for the greater good. The Nightside is all about choice: good and bad and everything in between. The Droods want to make the world behave. The Nightside wants to party. They were never going to get along.

For centuries, ancient Pacts have kept the Droods out of the Nightside, but now the Droods see the Nightside as a threat to the whole world. They march into the long night, in their armour, to put it under their control. All too soon, the two sides are at war. It's Eddie Drood and Molly Metcalf against John Taylor and Shotgun Suzie. The Drood Sarjeant-at-Arms and their Armourer against Dead Boy and Razor Eddie. More groups join in: the London Knights, the Ghost Finders, the Spawn of Frankenstein, Shadows Fall, and the Soulhunters. Science and magic are running wild, there's blood running in the gutters, and the bodies are piling up.

Is anyone going to get out of this alive?

A nice series end

I think this is s fitting end that ties together two of Simon Green's great series. The Night Side and The Secret Histories. I look forward to his future work that I am sure is forthcoming.

A solid ending

to the excellent Nightside series.

I've read none of the Drood books and this story still made sense to me.

A solid entry. Underwhelming finale.

Lives up to the standard set for both series. But if it is truely the end of this universe very underwhelming. Barely mentions any other of the characters from off shoot series.

narrator really sucked

it was a good story and it was pretty cool but the different narrator really is a throw off I mean when when I listen to these books I always think of Constantine John Constantine from the show The Blonde one and that's what it reminds me of and he cares and things like that but the person who narrated this time just did horrific job no one sounded anything like they were supposed to and it ruins the characters

Still crying into my pillow!

Let me start by saying the night side series is in my all time top 5. I like the secret histories but I would not have jump on listening to it without John Taylor. It's a great book! We have to say good-bye to some beloved characters. The epilogue could have added more details. But maybe there will be some short stories in the future. Also you get to find out what is in Agatha's egg. Hope you placed your bets!

The end of everything

I absolutely loved this series and the Nightside series. This writer keeps the action coming in all his books. No time for boredom here! Jon Taylor and Eddie Drood are facing the challenge of their lives and are pitted against each other. There is a whole cast of characters that join these two heroes and with their unique gifts it makes for one hell of an interesting ride!! Great way to wrap up both series. Thank you Mr. Green. ❤️

Enjoyed the story

I enjoyed the story but strange matter bullets don’t hurt strange matter armor. I understand everything else being different because it’s the night side but that I had an issue with

Sad to see the end...

I absolutely love both the Nightside and Secret History series, and hate to see them end. However, I still enjoyed seeing all of my favorites in one story, even though not all survived. Guess it's time to start from the beginning!

Kinda clunky

Great story but trying to tie two large series together while giving most of the main characters their HOA makes this book kinda clunky. It’s amazing and fun but very clunky

And the Curtain Falls

The last of the Secret and did not disappoint. Adding to it a close to the Nightside series in one fell swoop really brought the series home. Getting to see Eddie Droid and Jon Taylor together is not to be missed. Bringing in old Heroes and Foes alike the world unfolded leaving us guessing until the last page. Nice wrap op and still left room for Simon R Green to revisit if he feels the need for more. Gideon Emery breathed life into all the players and only added to the experience.
