Publisher's summary

When Honey Perribow traded in her cowboy boots for stilettos and left her small Kentucky town to attend Columbia University, she never expected to find a dirt-cheap apartment or two new best friends. No stranger to hard work, Honey is completely focused on her medical degree...until she sees newly minted professor Ben Dawson, and her concentration is hijacked. Honey is fascinated by her gorgeous young English professor and vows to find a crack in his tweed-wearing, glasses-clad exterior.

At an off-campus party, an accident lands Ben in a dark, locked closet with a sexy-sounding Southern belle...and their chemistry is explosive. But when he discovers that the girl in his arms is the same beautiful student he can't stop thinking about, he is stunned. Student-teacher relationships are strictly forbidden...yet no matter how hard he tries, Ben can't stay away from Honey.

And when his attempt to fight their attraction nearly ruins the best thing that ever happened to him, Ben will do anything to prove how much he needs her.

Great story, just ends too abruptly

I’d say this about all the books in this series. It’d be nice to get a little more about where the characters end up.

Perfect romance and just the right amount of spice. I would definitely recommend this book.

Short, sweet, spicy TB story! 🌶

4 / 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐
3,5 / 5 🌶️
Spicy Chapters: 3, 5, 8, 16, 17

Ben (MMC) and Honey (FMC)

This book was first published in April 2015, and it's easy to see how much TB's writing has evolved and improved through the years. However, I think that 'Need me' is still a solid book 9 years later.

Imo, this TB book is fun, light, and the perfect palette cleanser in between longer, heavier books. It's a quick read, with a romance story between two MC's whose chemistry is off the charts.

The spice starts very early in the book, which is refreshing, as it seems like many books nowadays don't have any spice 🌶 until at least the 50% mark 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻.

It is 100% an insta-love story where the FMC takes the initiative to pursue the MMC (not my favorite dynamic but realistic in this case, as he's her college English professor and Honey has a crush on him).

At the beginning of the story, both MC's find out that they have friends in common. I appreciate that they have a connection outside the classroom and not just the teacher/student dynamic.

The third act breakup was brilliant, and so was the reconciliation👌 I enjoyed this well-rounded story and recommend it.

Happy reading! 📚

Great 2nd book and wonderful narrator

Tessa Bailey did it again! Another great book and nice follow up to Chase Me.
The narrator is a fabulous job switching between character voices to help the listener distinguish who was talking and it gave personality to the author’s characters.

Ben is a walking, talking red flag

The performance is great, but the story.... not so much. Ben is a walking red flag and it's not cute.

“Babe”

I had to give up. I couldn’t get past him calling her “babe”. His character is SO far from the “babe” type.
