About this listen
"My name is Nashville Beaumont. I am 12 years old, and few people know I exist. I was born in a secret underground facility in Texas. My twin sister, Providence, was taken away weeks ago. But I will find her, and when I do, I will kill Kidar Frenzid, the man who made me watch as he killed my entire family, one at a time."
A tale full of twists and high-stakes adventure, Nashville Beaumont takes you all the way from Texas to Argentina, to the moon, and even on to places far off in the galaxy. His faith in himself is pushed way beyond its limits as he struggles to free his sister from the hands of a bloodthirsty madman, discovering along the way that the very world he lives on is in jeopardy. To save it, Nashville must learn to discern his friends from his enemies. Not an easy task when people have been poking around in your mind, changing memories, fabricating truths, and hiding deep, dark lies.

Finding Gilger in the farthest corner of human-inhabited space, a gas-giant harvesting colony called Cernee, was easy. A haunting dystopian sci-fi, w/ a message
In a stark dystopian world, Nashville Beaumont searches for his 12-year-old sister and her kidnapper, the man he believes killed his family. His search takes us from Texas to Brazil to an alien star system far from earth. The story also explores humanity’s endless battle between good and evil, power and loss, freedom and despotism. And Nashville, as he states at the beginning of the story, is a weapon. A weapon we discover that will decide the future of mankind.
I thoroughly enjoyed this beautifully written story with its complex characters and richly drawn world. It’s quite rare to find a gem like this in genre fiction—a tight, faced paced plot woven together with such elegant, poetic prose into a story that haunts your thoughts well after the last word is uttered. Michael Hiebert has written such a story. And Eric Bryan Moore narrates it masterfully. Most highly recommended to all lovers of sci-fi, dystopian and outstanding fiction.

Hiebert is amazing!
Not my usual genre, I am finding Michael Hiebert to be on one of the top authors on my list. I loved that he shares how he feels about writing and how the stories come to him. It's always interesting finding out a little about how the authors think and are able to produce such great entertainment. This quick, dystopian listen of a young boy trying to find his twin, Providence, is so well written, it's easy to get caught up in it. Learning of violence and death at such young age, Nashville Beaumont is on a mission. Hiebert transports us into a world of thrilling action and deception, not knowing who to trust throughout and ending with the last thing you would expect. Along with the engaging short story of the Hyperbole Engine(which is also as much fun!) you cannot go wrong with this listen.
Eric Bryan Moore showcases his talent with this book. His repertoire of voices is vast, being able to go from a 12 year old boy to an alien to a General with seamless transition is amazing. He engages the listener and keeps you interested.

Good, Short Sci-fi Listen
This was a great little science fiction book that's great for anyone with a morning commute or doing some traveling. It follows the adventures of a 12-year-old boy as he searches for his sister and the man who killed his family. There were a few points that I got confused, and I did think that it was a little too short, but it was all-in-all a very good listen.
There is also a short introduction by the author who explains the frame of mind he was in when he wrote the book, and how he wrote the entire thing in a very short period of time when he was in "the zone."
Narration in this one was quite good. No complaints at all.
This is a short book, but definitely worth the listen.
I received a free copy of this audiobook from the author, publisher, or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review. I was NOT required to write a positive review and this reflects my honest opinion of the work.

"We are the reason you're now free"
What did you love best about Nashville Beaumont?
Amidst all of the good (and sometimes not so good) audio books that I listen to, there comes an occasional beautiful gem. This is one of them. In a short introduction, the author comments that he thinks this might be his best book. Having no others with which to compare it (though I definitely intend to remedy this now I have found him), I cannot comment. But it is good. Very good.
Beautifully written, in short, snappy chapters, I was initially so mesmerised by the sound of the words rippling together that I had to relisten to concentrate on the story, that of a twelve year old boy looking for his twin sister. But not an ordinary boy. He has hidden talents. He, like his sister, is a weapon. She was taken, he is hunted. But not everything is as it seems. Like a classic science fiction style brought dazzlingly up to date, every word counts, thought and imagination need to be applied ...
In complete symbiotic partnership, Eric B Moore slides his way over the text, soft, warm yet slightly sinister as he reads the thoughts of the boy. The other protagonists are easily identifiable from Nashville and each other with distinctive and very suitable voices. The whole is perfectly performed.
Additionally, there is a bonus story, the Hyperbole Engine, another short delight and again read by the talented Mr.Moore in yet another voice. This narrator certainly can bring characters to life. A story to make the reader smile.
My warm thanks to the right's holder of Nashville Beaumont for the complimentary copy I received, via Audiobook Boom. Without it I might not have discovered this excellent author and his narrator. Words flowing like sparkling poetry, read with fluency and skill, a real science fictional content in an enigmatic story with even a bonus tale to follow - oh, what's not to like? Go get it now, and enjoy.

Lost
Any additional comments?
For the initial book, I was a bit lost, hoping there would be some clarification, then it ended. There was either a lot of assumption or interpretation to be made, or there is some history there I am not aware of. It doesn't necessarily detract from an entertaining story, just threw me a bit. The 2nd book is a bit more straightforward. The narrator does a good job.
