decent bit of info

This book is a solid, basic, explanation of Nanowrimo.
There is nothing new here if you've tried to do nanowrimo, but it is also very important to be reminded.
The narration was good and straightforward as was the writing.
I recommend this book if you need a reminder, or a bit of encouragement.

An okay place to start but...

One of the first things she tells you not to do is make an outline, even a loose outline. I completed my first draft last year and used an outline to do so. Many successful writers use outlines! Whether or not an outline is a good idea depends on the writer. Some of us will wander around in our stories forever without one. Also, writing scene by scene did work for me because I had a list of scenes I knew I wanted to write. That was my outline!

Just Enough Good Advice

I’m going to participate in National Novel Writing Month and am getting prepared. This is a great primer and gave me some forewarning about things I didn’t realize would likely happen during the month and how to deal with them. Much of it I was planning to do already, but it was good to know I am on the “write” track. 😉😎. Also some good practical tips about writing software, etc.

Very fast narration

Tips were great but the narrator was a very fast speaker. I usually listen at 1.25 speed but for this I slowed it down to 0.85.

Don't waste the credit. most of this content can be gotten for free on any writing message board. This is an advertisement for the non-profit and their contest.

Waste of money and time

Don’t waste your money or time. Useless “information” and the narrater must agree since she read like she was in a race… had to turn down the speed to .8 or .9 just to tolerate listening.
