Bubbly

I love Keating Hollow, wish I could move there!

Fairytale romance... girl meets boy, falls in love has speed bumps and road blocks... but gets happily ever after...

Garbra’s performance of this book is fabulous!

Building Commitment and Community, 4.5

This was a wonderful edition of the series and I was so excited to jump into this volume as Wanda has always been a favorite character and I was excited to get to know her and Cameron better. I love the way you get to see the community of Keating Hollow interact in each volume and the different relationships and dynamics play out. Although I never feel rooted in the actual town, I don't think I could give you any description of this place, the focus is really on the individuals and their relationships which are rich and complicated. Don't get me wrong these are still fluffy stories that are far from an in depth character analysis but it was lovely seeing the characters struggle with the very real life fears around commitment and navigating trust and family crisis. The beginning had me laughing a great deal but I appreciated that although Wanda often plays the class clown and comic relief in other stories the audience gets to see behind that one note of the character to the other qualities she possesses of loyalty, dedication, and deep love. Never fear we still get some great golf cart races, but we also get to see two folks fumbling through the rocky terrain of developing courtship. The final chapter the POV switches to the protagonist of the next volume Amelia Haliday who is the sister of the character Rex Haliday who is the main male love interest of book one in Deanna's other series Witches of Christmas Grove. I actually started with WOCG before discovering Deanna's other series. I don't think the it is as strong as Keating Hollow or Premonition Pointe but still fun fluffy melodrama with hints of magic. I will say the end set up with Amelia and her interest Grayson left a great deal to be desired, was not a set up that pulled me in but rather left me cringing. Needless to say I will of course listen as I am devouring all of Deanna's series but I actually didn't find myself rooting for Amelia. Gabra does well as always narrating and I know fans of the series will enjoy seeing this new more serious side of Wanda.

Absofreakinglutely Hilarious!

From the very first page, the book sets the stage for hilarity to ensue. There were numerous times throughout the book where I would literally start laughing out loud. Cameron’s mother is especially hilarious and easy to love. It made the story so enjoyable, and downright impossible to put down. I think I crammed the entire book in a 4 hour reading session. Wanda has always been a bit of a mystery, but also so footloose and carefree. It was really great to see her story and how she finally finds love after so many years of remaining single. They experience strife in their relationship through standard mis-or lack of communication which is a bit frustrating, yet it does advance the plot. I was a bit suspicious about Cam Berry and the timing of his arrival, but I’m glad he ended up being a truly good and honorable person. I was worried he had ulterior motives. By the end of the book, a new witch is introduced that we’ll get to focus on for the next book, and I’m excited to see what will happen in her story next.

I love Wanda!

I love Keating Hollow and it's residents. I was looking forward to Wanda's story and it didn't disappoint. I also look forward to the golf cart races and this one was funny and ended in a surprise. I finally got to see more of the serious side of Wanda and it made her a more well rounded character. I love the narrator. She does a great job.

Blake and Cameron

Back to Keating Hollow we go! It's time for Wanda's story. Oh jeepers her friends with benefits situation is going to take a sudden turn. And just when things get complicated with Wanda's younger stepsister, Cameron throws in the let's get serious.

Now let's go back to the stepsister situation that is Blake. Showing up on Wanda's doorstep in the midst of teenage angst. Not to mention Cameron is a successful screenwriter who finds himself out of town for work. Wanda is definitely a no strings attached kind of gal. But now she has to handle her demons and people always leaving.

I love being able to see how the characters grow throughout the series and a glimpse into their current lives even though this book is specific to Wanda and Cameron...I voluntarily reviewed an audio copy of Muse of the Witch from the author.

Don't ever think that witchy powers make life easy

The narration is good, I love her voice and different characters.

Don't ever think that witchy powers make life easy and problem-free. Wanda found out when Cameron, her friend with benefits, decides to change to lets-get-serious lovers. Before she can even get that her little, teenage, sister shows up needing a place to live.

Too much! Too many decisions. If she pushes him away will she regret and want him back? Will he just walk out of her life? Suddenly he has life changes the size of hers. Can he really be thinking of adding one more major change?

She has great friends who support her in any decision she makes. Determining the order of priority is the first on the list. Life isn't all worry and decisions. Throw in some hysterical golf cart races, startling meetings, and more livens things up. Another wonderful story from the author. Don't miss it.

All in all this was an awesome return for me to Keating Hollow!! If only it was a real town I would definitely move there..lol

How could anyone not love this series.

Both Deanna and Gabra make this whole series such a wonderful and entertaining journey. The witches Keating Hallow series continues to get better with each new addition, so glad that past characters continue to to be involved and that we are able to catch up on their stories as well. Wanda's story was as enjoyable as all the rest and I hope that there are many more books to come. would recommend this series to everyone.
