Welcome to Normal, Kentucky, where nothing is normal!

Mae West, owner of Happy Trails Campground, never thought she would become an actress like her namesake. Calling herself an actress might be a far stretch as she plays a minor role in the local Civil War reenactment Battle at Camp Wildcat.

When the reenactment doesn't go as planned, not one but two of the town's folks aren't playing dead...they were murdered!

Come to find out there was a prison break and the serial killer is believed to be in Normal and someone has stolen a motorhome from Happy Trails Campground. Are these connected?

Mae lets boyfriend and hunky detective, Hank Sharp, follow all the leads about the murders and on the trail of the serial killer, because she's got bigger s'mores in the fire.

The motorhome owners have filed a lawsuit and suing her for the deed to Happy Trails Campground. Mae has embraced Normal, and there's nothing or no one going to take her campground. She's determined to find the motorhome and return it to the owners before she hands over any deed to anyone.

Mae just might find out that tapping into her namesake just might come in handy when coming face to face with a serial killer.

There were a few phrases within chapter 3 that repeated back to back multiple times. Please listen to audiobook again and fix issues.

Overall, the story and narration were good. I will continue to listen to the other books in the series.

This edition of the trailer park was excellent! I really enjoyed the ending!! Well done Tonya!

The only complaint I have is there were many production problems where statements were repeated. Not just once but in several places.

Campers & Criminals book 5. Cozy mystery. Can be read as a stand-alone but better as part of the series.
A prisoner has escaped and ends up in Normal, KY and Happy Trails Campground. Mix in a historical battle reenactment and it’s a murder mystery that Mae West cannot resist investigating.

Campy and amusing. Get to know more of the town residents while Mae and Hank get a bit closer.
🎧 I listened to an Audiobook copy narrated by Johanna Parker. The narrator does voices very well and different characters are easy to follow. It is done USA southern accent so my usual speed of 1.2 was too slow so I mostly listened at 1.4. I also prefer this author in audio to avoid the text and proofing errors that are prevalent in the ebook version.

The characters of this series keep getting better, and the twists and turns of the plot in this one are really good.

I enjoyed this book much more than the previous one and it had an unexpected twist at the end. I can't wait to read the next one.

disappointed. have loved this series and the characters but this one left me flat. it literally put me to sleep.

Simply do not work, and as a Southern I find them irritating beyond belief!
Not sure I can listen to entire book. Why the heck do people think if you do a southern accent number one that is is easy and number two best to make the characters sound like congenital idiots! Grrrrr
