Publisher's summary

Megan Foy is finally getting the big wedding she's dreamed of. With her new child and the affection of the brothers of the Death Dwellers' MC, her life is settling down. However, a new threat rides into town and targets Christopher "Outlaw" Caldwell, forcing him to reevaluate his life once more and endangering everyone. Most of all, it threatens Meggie's newfound peace. This is a full-length novel.

Warning: for mature audiences only. Contains a few hot alpha bikers, loads of steamy sex, as much mushiness as outlaw can handle, violence, and excessive profanity.

An intense gritty biker romance!

Misappropriate gives some insight into Megan and Outlaw’s relationship. They are planning a wedding and building a house. While everything should be perfect, there are insecurities and decisions that they must both make. With a baby on the way, Megan has to put serious consideration into what she wants and what is best for her and the baby. Outlaw has past history that has come back and threatens everything that he holds dear. There were many sexual scenes that were intensely graphic, so if that is not your thing be forewarned.

The author does a good job with the writing and telling of the characters’ stories. You can really get a good sense of what each character feels. The romance between Megan and Outlaw is intense. There is some crazy banter that goes back and forth between th characters. Kathryn Kelly does a great job of intertwining characters from other books in the series throughout this one. As you read each book, you start to feel that you are just reading a continuation of the previous book.

There is a couple of minor things that I feel takes away from the story. Although it is interesting and kept my attention, it appears that sometimes curse words are excessively used. Yes, it is a biker club book, which has cursing, however even true biker groups don’t use a curse word as every other word in a sentence. I have no issue with curse words in general; they are just too frequent to be “real”. I do not like Megan as she comes across as whiny and immature. For everything she has been through, you would expect her to be more mature and stronger. Outlaw didn’t appear to be as strong or as solid as the president of a bikers club would expect to be. These characters didn’t do it for me.

Samuel Valor did a great job with the narration. He had a clear and crisp voice that was easy to follow. He did a great job with the voice inflections.

This is the second book that I have read by Kathryn Kelly. I recommend Misappropriate for anyone who enjoys a gritty motorcycle club romance.

Same basic plot as book one!

I enjoyed this book, overall. I was a little disappointed that the storyline so closely mimicked book one. I’m glad that Christopher and Megan get the wedding they want. I’m was also relieved that they cleared up their miscommunication issue. What I got sick of is the f word being used 4 or 5 times a sentence. Foul language usually doesn’t get to me but, Good lord, there has got to be some synonyms ,that are just as foul, that could mix it up a little. I’m excited to listen to Johnny find his HEA, in the next book.

Great book but!

I enjoyed the book I love hot MC breaker box. But this one was over the top with the F word I think they could've cut out 3/4 of the F word in the book still would've had plenty of it in there. All in all it was the only thing and I can complain about.

Great book

Christopher and Megan's wedding is quickly approaching and it seems that whatever can go wrong, does. From danger to love, this book is excellent. I love this MC and the characters within it. Christopher is a hard head but he will always keep Her safe. Great writing. This series is a must read.

Meet a Real Bad A$$ Outlaw

We get to see Christopher or Outlaw’s real ability at badassness as he ruthlessly searches for CC. This in turn heightens his self loathing and distances himself from Meghan. What can go wrong just always seems to do so.
Meghan gets her initiation into the Hell a biker’s life can be seeing and wearing and causing blood.
Hell of a ride with way too many F Bombs and of sex sex sex. LOL. I LIKED IT.

Love this Series

Would you listen to Misappropriate again? Why?

Already have listened to this & the first book twice its one of my Favorites & will probably listen another 7 times yet

Who was your favorite character and why?

Still Christopher the things he says are just the best & what he calls the Priest just too funny .

What about Samuel Valor’s performance did you like?

He just captions the charators perfectly ..

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

If you disrespect her he'll pull his Nine if your lucky but you will still be needing the ER.

Any additional comments?

The story continues from the first book with the story line growing in the second & Christopher realising that Maggie will be there through thick & thin, yes he shows his vulnerable side with someone from his past that he detests trying to take what Christopher has built, with wanting to give Maggie everything she wants dealing with threats he gets a little lost trying to bring his two sides together Christopher/Outlaw not realising that Maggie actually loves the whole of him not just the sweet & she can handle both sides & does .. man does she .... Maggie is starting to show her true backbone yes she has one ... Yes the women we love to hate is in this book for a "scene" but i will be greatly looking forward to the next book , yes ill be one clicking that Audio book as well .. Cant wait <3 The story is starting to weave thicker as the intrigue is getting more depth..... the why's the where's the wonder's the who's..... love it love it

Must Needed Follow Up To Misled

This was a great follow up to the first book in the Death Dwellers' series. I was glad to see that voice actor Samuel Valor continues to narrate. I got used to him as Christopher because the tone he uses helps me to picture what the head of the Death Dwellers may look like. Mr. Valor's performance brings the author's words to life. At times I still want to laugh when he does a female voice but had to think of this as being told from Christopher's point of view and then the giggles would disappear.

Ms. Kelly has written a book that I prefer to have in audio form. It just adds to the experience of what the Death Dwellers are all about. There's no way that you can't tell what type of MC these men are and what they do for their women. It's a story without sound effects which in this case was fine by me. When warranted, I had no trouble coming up with those all by myself. One thing that you can't get away from is all the "F" words that get used here - just one indication as to the type of men make up the Death Dwellers. An audio version of this book brings more of a reality to the written word.

If you don't mind men that are very graphic as to what they do, what they like, who swear all the time, and bring new meaning to "taking care of business" than you may want to check this book out. My only recommendation is that you read, or listen to, Misled first. If you don't it would be like skipping the beginning and starting at the middle of a book. This means to get the most out of the Death Dwellers' MC you must start at the beginning.

The first story was sad and this was more violent. With this one you see how much Christopher cares for Megan. But you will also see how much the MC filters into their life. I did start to cringe with all the "F" words that got thrown around. The thing is that everyone does it. It's hard to walk around anywhere without hearing someone constantly using it. And if you can get past that than this will be an enjoyable tale. Just like the first book, I feel that our author and our narrator make a great combination. I can't wait to listen to Misunderstood - I'm addicted to this series, Ms. Kelly, and Mr. Valor.

I voluntarily reviewed an Audiobook copy of this book.
