About this listen

From Wall Street Journal & USA Today best-selling author Natasha Madison comes a small-town second-chance sports romance.

When two worlds cross over. From the This Is series and the Southern series.

Things are supposed to go smoothly on your wedding day. Aren't they?

Sofia Barnes

I’ve always loved to play dress-up. Creating fake weddings was my childhood pastime. Now it is my dream come true.

I’ve finally been handed my first client. But nothing could prepare me for who greeted me when I walked in.

He was my first kiss, my first everything, including my first and only heartbreak. Now I have to plan his wedding.

Matthew Petrov

My family is filled with hockey royalty. From my grandfather to my uncle to my father. Now it is my turn to work my way up the leaderboard.

I had everything that I’ve ever wanted in my life. Or so I thought. Nothing could prepare me for coming face-to-face with Sofia.

I knew her inside and out. She knew my inner secrets. Two years ago, I let her go, and now she’s planning my wedding to someone else.

They say time heals old wounds. They lied. Maybe she was just mine to take.

Loved Series Coming Together!

This month I binged my way through the Southern Wedding series and absolutely loved them!  Each book has a wedding disaster complete with laughs and a true love story in the outcome.

Mine to Take, the newest addition to the series, and I finished it on audio this morning.  If you've read other works by this author than this book is for you.  While I think it can be read as a standalone it is a mash up of two other series with some favorite returning characters.  For me, any book containing her hockey family I'm down for - their antics always give me a giggle.  Sofia and Matthew are getting their second chance at love and they made for a great story!

Narration was excellent by Savannah Peachwood and Jason Clarke - always love listening to them tell a story!

Fun, sexy and charming story.

Mine To Take is a beautiful second chance story. If you’ve read this author’s previous series, you get a chance to revisit with some favorite characters. Matthew’s family is big, loud, funny and so full of love. Sofia’s family is also big, loud, over protective and full of southern charms. When the two worlds collide we as readers get a story that’s funny, sexy and unique This series is beautiful and so with spending a few hours lost in a world where love and family are the main focus.

Loved every word

I love this series and Sofia Barnes and Matthew Petrov’s story is the perfect addition to this wonderful group of stand-alone reads. I was captivated from the first page and there was no putting down until the final word as read.
Savannah Peachwood and Jason Clarke did a wonderful job with the characters and their journey. They were spot on with the emotion and they were very easy to listen to.
Sofia has got her first client and she is excited to be in charge of planning her first wedding until the groom walks in and she finds out he is the man who broke her heart.
Matthew is even more shocked to see the woman in charge of his wedding is the one who got away. It seems fate is determined to push these two together but will fate give them the future they both deserve…
This book touched me on so many levels, I laughed, I swooned and at times I held my breath as I cheered this couple on. The journey was always going to be bumpy, the chemistry was scorching hot, the characters adorable, the meddling families that only had everyone’s best interests at heart had me laughing out loud but what took this book to another level was the emotions that I felt as I watched Matthew and Sofia come to terms with the past as they look to the future.

If I could give 4.5 I would

Second chance. It’s Wedding season again, Sofia is hired as her ex-boyfriends wedding planner. That is, until he realizes he’s marrying the wrong girl. Will Sofia give Matthew a second chance after obliterating her heart two years ago. Sweet and spicy. With an extreme slow burn. The audio performances were perfect. Savannah Peachwood was already a favorite and Jason Clarke was amazing.

Matthew and Sofia

I love the combining of the two biggest families ever. Matthew was a perfect replica of his father. I love the face off between Casey and Matthew SR.

My favorite book of the series

I loved this story, and the families were hilarious. I also enjoyed the crossing of another series. I am so intrigued that I am going to read that series next to see how everyone ties together. Natasha Madison is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors.

Really enjoyable

Good story. Both characters were very likable. Not too much angst. I liked that Matthew was so direct and clear about his feelings. JC is always good. Savannah Peachwood’s female voice is good, but her male voice is not good at all. I always find it distracting. Aside from that, I would recommend.
