About this listen

When the man she's always been in love with starts dating one of her friends, artist Serenity Adesina creates a to-do list that will help her get over him once and for all.

The first item on that list?

Losing her virginity to Archer Harrison, her older brother's billionaire best friend…and her boss.

He's the perfect choice—alluring, caring, and entirely emotionally unavailable.

Their deal was supposed to be simple: Serenity will paint Archer anything he wants in return for a secret, no-strings-attached relationship.

Except each kiss leaves them both wanting more, tempting them to risk it all for what's growing between them. That is, until a cruel twist of fate shows them that giving in to their feelings comes at a far higher cost than they could've imagined.

Who cried? Lol

Catharina is a one click author for me. Add in an audiobook with these narrators and I’m there. Love this story and the beautiful escape it took me on. Thank you Catharina for another beautiful story.

Good story

Everybody calling her both freeSarah and Serenity in the same sentence was confusing. And the lady doing the voiceover sounded way older than the character’s twenty two years, which sometimes made it hard to listen to. She sometimes sounded like the old lady who kidnapped Rapunzel and pretended to be her mother.
The brother was annoying. Being gone all the time and then coming back and demanding 24/7 to know all of her whereabouts was irritating. Get a gf bro. Ezra acted like a jealous gf/bf at times.
Then, the“friend”, Theo’s gf, nah. They could’ve lived somewhere else, anywhere else. It’s like she’s living the life Serenity wanted, that’s weird. And doing Serenity’s to do lists every weekend? Ain’t no way.

Ezra had enough money to go stay somewhere else, especially when Tyra came back, I don’t understand why these rich people were sleeping on couches lol

“Don’t give up on me, don’t coddle me” GIRL, Tyra was annoying, im glad she finally owned up to what she was doing and apologized to both of them.
Anyway, I’ve read almost all of the author’s books so I expected angst and a good story.

Mine For A Moment

The title speaks for itself. A heartfelt story that kept me on edge at times. Archer and Serenity that kept wanting to tell their families about them but when Tara was found words couldn't describe their love and friendship amongst them.

Almost dnf

Loved the story but the female narrator was beyond terrible I almost didn’t finish the book. Wish cat would get somebody else to narrate and re post because the actual story is great but ugh this was rough

Surprised

I thought it wasn’t going to end like I wanted but the story was good and I don’t want to ruin it for anyone but it’s worth the read

Loved the story, wish the female narrator was different

Catharina has quickly become one of my favorite authors. I just wish Morae wasn’t the female narrator. She isn’t the easiest to listen to. She comes off as “older” and too breathy at times. I read most of serenity’s chapters because the believability was off in my opinion. Troy saved the audio on this one. Loved the storyline though.

Narration❤️‍🔥

The way Troy Duran says “darling” “sweetheart” “good girl” and “baby” always leaves butterflies in my stomach and a tear running down my thigh🫦. Archer Harrison is perfection🥹❤️‍🔥

Impulse Buy - No regrets

Scrolling through audible I saw a cute book cover with Troy Duran as the narrator, so I bought it. I've never read a Catharina Maura book so I really didn't know what to expect.

I enjoyed this story about Serenity and Archer both pained but from different ways and still managing to fall for each other. Troy's narration is flawless. Morae's narration didn't match my vision of Sera's persona. She was unnecessarily breathy which was unfortunate because I normally enjoy her female character narration style.

My nitpicky stuff -
1) Theo should have been at the gallery. If Tyra can remain in the picture so, should he.
2) Why did Archer say, "For two years, I imagined having her arms around me just like now" If the entire story he only felt guilty about what happened to her after they broke up. That statement sounds like he still wanted her as his love interest.

Other stuff
1. I will definitely be reading the other series. Characters were introduced and I need to find out more about them.
2. I hope Ezra gets a story

I did this completely backwards. I normally read the book and if it captures my attention enough to want to re-read it then I look for the audible version. The impulse buy paid off, so I bought the eBook and have read/listened to it twice already.

Great story, but,,,

As usual, Catharina Maura knows how to write a roller coaster love story. The storyline was good and the characters were lovable. Troy Duran delivers another great performance. The female narrator was a horrible actress. Horrible. It wasn’t that she had a bad voice; her voice is fine. She is a terrible actress - cringy. I hope there’s a followup story for the brother’s character. The book did not disappoint, but I felt like I was suffering through the female character’s performance.
