Publisher's summary

Do you think that the most successful people in the world have an above average level of intelligence? Are you convinced that your cognitive abilities have stabilized and cannot improve? Not at all! The truth is that our intelligence can be continuously increased and improved through the use of powerful mental tools, the same ones that the most authoritative thinkers, scientists, and entrepreneurs around the world use to filter decisions, strategies, and execution methods....

Even if you think you cannot change your intuitive and reasoning skills, think about this: It is known that more heads think better than one (since each of us is limited by his prejudices and experiences), but unfortunately you cannot have more than one! However, you can overcome the problem by resorting to the use of mental models, the "apps" that the brain uses to help you face any decision or choice.

The goal of this book is precisely this: To provide your brain with a series of simple and effective techniques that allow you to avoid evaluation errors, make the right decisions and solve problems in the best way, training you to think in a new way, clear, and effective.

Among other things you will listen to:

  • The structure, construction and development of mental models
  • Mental models and the mind
  • Mental ideas and success (how to increase our ability to invent innovations by creating a more diversified pool of ideas)
  • The main mental models and those "critical" for personal growth
  • And so much more.

Immediately make a decisive change in your life projecting it towards success and serenity: Adopt strategic thinking and get the best gift ever!

This is a must have for clear thinking

This is one of the best overviews of mental models I have listen. The authors provide clear examples of each model with application in a variety of settings that are beyond the initial use of the model. This was my best non-fiction purchase this year.

A valuable toolkit

This audio book is filled with what the authors call "mental models" which are ultimately ways to frame a situation and respond to it based on the framing. They borrow from a wide variety of disciplines and provide a valuable toolkit to assess and act to events

An impressive curation of mental models

Lambert and Deanna has curated groupings of mental models adjusted to numerous sorts of choices we confront for the reason of optimizing results. I run a part and found the sound book a incredible companion. I esteem the sound medium and the curation demonstrate worked well. Much of the materials are scattered over his podcasts and he’s expressed that this substance will inevitably be free in spite of the fact that not in sound book shape.

Great vivid examples to reinforce concepts!

Throughout the book there are great examples regarding all of the mental models. For me, the most compelling example for circle of competence was the sherpas who climb Mt. Everest. The image of this example really made perfect sense! Thank you Lambert.

Very useful survey.

Very useful survey of useful basic concepts. I have been writing along these lines myself for years, but this audio book is a fairly comprehensive reference manual.

Cover bound upside down

The content is great but my book came with the cover bound upside down. It's a tough sell to gift a book on problem sol ing models packaged this way. Overall this is an amazing book. Thanks
