Not a biography of Marianne

This biography had a little to do with Marianne Faithful. Mostly spoke about Rolling Stones. Anyone who knows anything about Marianne would know the little details I added in this book. I was looking forward to hearing more about her life. But instead, I got a rehash of everything. I already know about the Rolling Stones.

The AI voice was ok. a few mispronunciations. He botched Jim Morrison’s name lol. Otherwise it was OK to listen to you. I think they used AI to make this book. It was very general.

Don't waste your time

Marianne Faithful was a teen popstar and songwriter, best known for her relationship with Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones. This book tells us about her background, her quick rise to fame, and her descent into drug use.

The press eventually turned against Faithful after a series of arrests. Of course, the men she was with got a free pass and an upgrade to their bad boy images. As usual, the woman took the blame. Marianne was portrayed as a loose woman and druggie. There is a lot of time spent on her relationships, especially with Mick Jagger. A big chunk of this 55-page book is spent on Jagger and his background.

I listened to the audiobook which was read by Virtual Voice. The narration wasn't bad at all. I chose this book because I needed an autobiography or a memoir for a reading challenge. After searching audiobooks for autobiographies, I found this one. I chose it for the short length which was good since it reads like a sixth-grade book report. I wouldn't consider this an actual autobiography. I'm assuming Ms. Faithful had nothing to do with the publication of this story. My rating: 1 Star.
