About this listen

Everett Worthington, PhD is a world-leading expert on relationship research and forgiveness research, as well as a seasoned clinical psychologist and husband of almost 50 years. He is the ideal guide for this comprehensive 15-lecture series that shows you how to strengthen your relationship.

An award-winning professor, Everett Worthington is best known for developing the REACH Forgiveness model - an innovative forgiveness intervention used widely throughout the world. Now, this course applies the same evidence-based research that made him famous to the vexed question of relationship satisfaction.

You will not find quick fixes in this course. You will, however, find a trustworthy guide in Prof. Worthington as he advocates for the Hope-Focused Approach to Couple Enrichment. Dovetailing with his ground-breaking research on forgiveness, reconciliation, and conflict resolution, the Hope-Focused Approach has been proven empirically effective worldwide in couples therapy, relationship enrichment, premarital counseling, and couples education.

As you listen to the course, you will devise a practical plan of action and learn specific techniques for forming, maintaining, and rebuilding your emotional bond with your partner.

Throughout the lectures, entertaining anecdotes keep Prof. Worthington’s advice grounded in his authentic experience.

From upending common myths about long-term relationships to emphasizing the importance of funding your “love bank”, this course will equip you with proven ways to improve your relationship.

This course is part of the Learn25 collection.

A Unique & Essential Guide to Relationships

You know these people who are not “relationship material”; I am one of those. I entered like 4 or 5 relationships, was friend-zoned many times, friend-zoned some people once a while. My longest relationship lasted for like 18 months but it failed in the end.

I wanted someone or something to explain to me what is wrong? Is there something wrong with me or do I choose in the wrong way? Despite listening to many similar courses, I didn’t find answers to my questions.

After listening to this course, I found out that I had been doing many mistakes and that I have some disadvantages. I also found that I am not that bad; I just do not understand.
I was surprised when professor Everett said that he has been married for 48 years. 48, Jesus, professor, how did you do it?

There are many unique things about this course. The first thing is the scientific approach. Professor Everett did great research about the topics. As a doctor, I understand how difficult it is to have a Ph.D. in psychology and how difficult it is to simplify psychology topics.
The second thing is that professor Everett understands the frustration related to failed relationships. The course is full of hope and I think your relationship will definitely work if you followed and understood it deeply.
Another unique thing is that the person who is talking has been married for almost 50 years. A man who knows how to keep a relationship that long is worth listening to.

I will try to make things right next time I am in a relationship based on this course. I am looking for a long-term relationship and I think I will find it this time.
Thank you, professor Everett, for this great course.

Unlike any relationship book we've encountered

This lecture series is extraordinarily helpful, and I highly recommend it. First, Professor Worthington is a leading social psychologist and a world-leading expert on forgiveness and relationships. He's also experienced counselor who draws from illuminable real-world experiences. I appreciate that he is the one giving each talk, rather than a narrator. His ideas are sensitive, practical and scientifically based. He understands. If we are honest, every one of us has experienced and will experienced real challenges in our important relationships. We get stuck. Check out this series. It will help.
