Publisher's summary

It is the year 1892, and a mail order bride heads out west....

Can a woman find her strength, overcome adversity, and find love with a man that will protect her and care for her?

Abby Johnson and her younger cousin, Charlotte, are heading to Jamestown, North Dakota. Charlotte has arranged her own wedding to a man she has never met. Her more sensible older cousin cannot believe that she has become a mail order bride.

Their journey is shared with a strange frontier rancher who enthralls the young women with tales of the west.

As Charlotte casts her eyes on the man she will marry in a few hours for the first time, Abby is shocked that the stranger rancher is heading for the same destination.

The joys of wedding bliss are not around long before disaster strikes. Can Abby and their strange traveling companion save the day?

This short book is a sweet, clean western romance.

Really Short & Ends Unfinished

So this made me think of the short stories/pamphlet books or stories made for magazines published back in the 1800's and early 1900's for Western or romance etc. It's was a very quick paced mail order bride story that weird enough ended without a conclusion to a pretty major event but at the same time didn't lead to a book two that I could find. It could've been a great story if lengthened and the ending improved by either leading to the next book or finishing the story. Overall a clean story, there is a semi detailed surgery scene (warning to the squeamish) but otherwise nothing to note in content.

The narrator was ok, didn't have the best differentiations but we still easy to listen to.

Is there a doctor in the house

Narration was good. This is a sweet short story. Abby and her best friend and cousin, Charlotte, are on a train heading to North Dakota, so Charlotte can get married. She is a mail order bride and Abby is making sure she gets there safely. On the way, a cowboy steps into their car. He entertains them with stories of the West. When Charlotte awakes and has a panic attack. The cowboy, Samuel is also a doctor, calms her down. When the train gets to its destination, they all get out. Charlotte meets her intended, Will for the first time. Little did they know, they were all going to the same place, a wedding. Cute story.

The story was good but it ended wY to ubrubtly. Actually there was no ending. For the most part the naration was ok but one of the voices just grated on my nerves.

Christian Historical Romance

While I enjoyed this story tremendously, I was certainly disappointed when it ended. It seemed to need at least another chapter to complete the story, but it pulled me in and kept me enthralled throughout! The narrator was excellent!

Frontier Heart

This is a short book about Charlotte going out west to be married. Her friend Abby goes with her than she goes back home. I liked the story it was just to short. I wasn't able to get the feel of the storyline. But for a quick fast book I liked it. Angel Clark did a great job narrating the book.

Twists and turns all throughout!

The heartfelt story of these sisters' lives is told so elegantly with Clark's voice. Although the love story may not be the conventional fairy tale, listeners are certainly in for a treat with the plot twist of the century!

Faith put to the test

A trip out west ends with an unexpected event. In the old west, doctors are limited and there are few hospitals. Faith is put to the test when a event occurs and medical conditions are lacking. Will God reach out and help when situations are not ideal for medical procedures? Are doctors trained enough to perform surgeries of any sort? Prayer and faith go hand in hand to assist in this book of physical ailment, love, courage, and trust. Short, clean reading for all!!

Weird Ending and Story Focus

This was billed as a romance, but it was more about an appendectomy in great detail than about anything else. It also ended in such a weird place that it felt like an incomplete fragment. The writing wasn't bad, though.
