So so good!

The performances were amazing! The only thing a little odd was sometimes the background music took me out of the scene. Wouldn’t mind general scene background noise more than music.

GraphicAudio is awesome

I've never really enjoyed audio books until I heard a dramatized adaptation of one. I wish all books had a GraphicAudio version. They did a marvelous job of bringing one of my favorite books, by one (technically two) of my favorite authors to life.

Love!

My favorite all time urban fantasy series! Love that they have added this to the GraphicAudio production! (Yes, I now own a copy of the original audiobooks and will be buying them in this version as well!) This book ahead plenty of action, drama, and love interest and also has Curran’s point of view!!!!

Thunderdome meets Kubla Kahn

Curran: “what are you doing?”
Kate: “pulling death’s whiskers”
This is the book that sealed the deal for me as a series fan and it’s even better in graphic audio. Kate’s been trying to live on the down-low in Atlanta, where magic and tech now ebb and flow like the tides. This book is where the little hints about Kate’s past and potential break open and the higher stakes and promise of impending showdown are thrown down. Also, this book is where all my favorite characters fill out and their strengths and weaknesses are fully realized. Saiman, Jim, Derek, Andrea, Kate and Curran become multidimensional here.

Andrea: “I don’t want to be his TWTIHFB”
The plot is bloody and bloody fun, beginning with Kate and the gang entering into a gladiator style, Thunder Dome (two men enter, one man leaves) underground fight club... but with magical beings. Throw in another, magical dimension that reminded me of Kubla Khan and combine with a western style revenge-showdown theme as the gang hunts those responsible for harming Kate’s were-friend Derek.

Andrea: “he called you his mate … M … A … T … E …!”
Finally, things heat up big time between Kate and Curran, in saucy, sizzling fashion. I love my alpha male romances, especially when the female isn’t some submissive damsel, but is instead an alpha in her own right. They are both strong, heroic, crazy, and flawed... in essence, perfect for each other. The hate flirting has some serious bite.

Full cast was great

I have ebook and original audio. I picked up Graphic Audio version on sale. I am a fan of series and have read and listened multiple times. I really enjoyed the Graphic Audio version. I was able to follow along in the book. I thought all the voices were great. Right now there are only four books available in the full cast audio. I would purchase new releases in this series made by this cast. The audio is very good. The series is one of my favorites as are the authors.

Fantastic

The cast of actors is amazing. All of their voices fit each character perfectly.

This series has been one of my favorites. I have them all in traditional audiobooks and am happy to collect them all now in Graphic Audiobooks.

Sooo Good!

Ilona Andrews' Kate Daniels series is one of my very favorite things and I've listened to the audiobooks at least a dozen times over the years. This dramatized adaptation took something I loved very much and made it even better.

Holy sh*t this Graphic Audio version was amazing. So good that I listened to the prequel and books 1 and 2 over the weekend and immediately jumped into book 3. Here's hoping Graphic Audio contracts all the books because it's bloody brilliant.

Also of note, the Curran POV stuff for Magic Strikes is included at the end of the book and is also dramatized. I didn't realize how badly I needed this Curran stuff narrated until I got it. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Y'all, the narration is top notch. Don't get me wrong, Renee Raudman is extraordinary and did a fantastic job as a solo narrator, but these dramatized adaptations are on another level. Having a full cast gave us the gravely tone I expected of Curran as well as a very surly/exasperated Jim and the magnificence that is Doolittle. Doolittle's accent is PERFECTION and it makes me love him even more.

Having the soundtrack and backing noises at the Midnight Games, really brought that to life, battle scenes have been elevated to extraordinary heights, and for those in the know, that stuff at the end? Narrated to absolute perfection and the hyena cackle and lion roars were definitely something.

I truly didn't think I could love these books more yet here I am eagerly awaiting the dramatized versions. That's after multiple rereads and waiting for each book as it was released. Years ago. Please, please, please give us all of the Kate Daniels series. I'm begging.

My favorite in the series

This might always be my favorite in the whole series. I loved the GA version, even if it is abridged and left out some of my favorite lines. I wasn't a fan of the original narrator so I was excited to have these to listen to.

I love having all the different people for different characters. I love the sound effects. It just makes the story so much more vibrant.

The voice actors are amazing!

I LOVE this version. The book is amazing! This dramatized version is spot on! I absolutely LOVE Curran, Kate, Jim’s and Doc’s voices. I’ve always wanted to see the Kate Daniels books adapted to an animated or live action movie version. This is like watching a movie of my favorite series. Magic Strikes is my favorite book of the series since it is full of great fight scenes (which the authors are really amazing at writing), great character development, and a brewing romance between Kate and Curran. It is a must read (listen) and I highly recommend the series. Although I recommend starting from book one.
