Wonderful Book By Lou's Daughter Chris !!

One of the best biographies I have read about one of the great classic comedians of our time. Lou's Daughter Chris lovingly tells the story of her father's beginning's in Patterson N.J. to his 1st trip to Hollywood ending up as a stuntman to returning home ends up starting his career in shoe business to his ultimate teaming up with Bud Abbott. A truly marvelous book which you will enjoy.

Excellent with a few audio surprises

The TRUE story of Lou Costello, his family, their triumphs and tragedies. Hollywood is not always what it seems.

A wonderful story from the heart.

I've read the book and I was very moved by it and also learned a lot about Lou Costello and Bud Abbott. When I found out that Chris Costello is going to narrate the book I became very excited who better to tell the story then Lou's daughter. Chris is a wonderful person and Chris shares an awful lot about her life with her father and her mother on Facebook. My own dad talked about Lou because he grew up in the in the Paterson and Clifton New Jersey area and Lou was very well known around there and he saw him at the Capitol Theater in Passaic New Jersey which sadly is no longer there. I recommend this book highly to anybody that has ever watched an Abbott and Costello film or the Abbott and Costello television show it's a wonderful story and it's very moving. Thank you Chris it's a masterpiece I love it five stars hip hip hooray.

WOW!

I grew up every Sunday watching Abbott and Costello.
Chris Costello brought a new level of understanding to the Little Giant.
I read the book, but this brings it to a new level. I won't lie I had tears when you talked about Butch and when you lost both your parents left us.
Chris, thank you for sharing your family with us
One of the things that you loose in an audiobook is the picture that are in the book, but Ms. Costello makes up with it with the audio clips she has added. what a great addition. Also filling in the blanks in the bonus chapter.

A regular guy who was a star.

How many stars today would do what Lou Costello did as a human being. the answer is none. Lou was first a man with a big heart who loved people. as a kid I used to wait for the days when one of their movies was shown. We did not have the option of simply finding them online, we had to watch the TV Guide and wait for WPIX in NY to list one of their films. I rarely missed one. This story made me remember the joy I found watching Abbott and Costello as a kid. "Who's on First" never gets old to me.

Very good book

I never really seen all their movies, and tv shows, but the ones I seen I thought were funny. I pray for his daughter Chris’s, and Patty. It’s sad they lost their dad, and mom, and Lou JR. But their legacy lives on.

Nice, safe account of a favorite comic and beloved family member

Family account of someone that has not gotten a lot of things written about him after his passing. Definitely makes you a fan of him if you want a mom.
