Cool blend of sci-fi and fantasy

Would you consider the audio edition of Lodestone, Book Two: The World of Ice and Stars to be better than the print version?

Audio way better. You can listen while you work

What other book might you compare Lodestone, Book Two: The World of Ice and Stars to and why?

I don't have any comparison. The Lodestone technology is almost magical but scientific at the same time

Have you listened to any of Nathan William Heller’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

It was just as entertaining and well read as the first lodestone book. Great voices and sound effects!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

no

This is my full review:

I am really enjoying this series. These are some of the only audiobooks I've listened to without being on a long car trip, and they make me look forward to cleaning to working out. I'm just hooked into this world. I didn't completely get the 'science fiction' label in the first book, but it's very clear in the second. Mark Whiteway has earned a fan, his storytelling makes it hard for me to put this book down. The characters are all very different, but growing with each chapter. Shann isn't the same girl I fell in love with in book one; She has gone from little sister to being a woman. She is one of my favorite characters this book, second of course, to Boxx. When I hit the end of the book, I was sad to say goodbye to what feel like old friends. I cannot wait to see what book three holds for the group. I'm ready for the prophet to get what is coming to him.

The narrator did a good job as he did in the last book. I can't comment on the editing as I am listening to the audiobook, but the audio is spot on. I think this is a great sci-fi/fantasy series. It's also very young adult/tween friendly. I received this for an honest review.
