About this listen

The American Girl brand is synonymous with wholesome, empowering tales about young women growing up in America, even as the country grows, too. Each girl’s story documents with unsurpassed charm and wit the people, places, and events she witnesses. Taking place in 1854, Kirsten’s stories follow the young Swedish immigrant and her family as they attempt to start a new life on a farm in frontier Minnesota. This collection includes: "Meet Kirsten", "Kirsten Learns a Lesson", "Kirsten’s Surprise", "Happy Birthday, Kirsten!", "Kirsten Saves the Day", and "Changes for Kirsten".

worth it!

My 7-year-old girl and 8-year-old boy were fascinated by this series. Very educational and drawing, also relatable.

Throw back to childhood!

Kirsten was my first American Girl Doll and loved reading about her life. This story was the perfect collection of stories to bring me back to my childhood memories. The performance was so sweet and if you’re needing a break from all those challenging and heavy stories - this one is a great adventure.

I love how she is from I long time ago and it teaches what they did long ago

I like how she has fun with her friends and she is like a normal girl not all perfect that she thinks she can do something that she needs help with and she learns lessons

Awesome!!!!!!

This book is one of my favs!!! If you love American girl dolls of their stories, I would recommend this book. It is one of the best American girl stories written. I will say that some parts are weird because Kirsten lies or gets no punishment for things she did, but over all the book is great!!!!!😀

Love the book, narration was ok

I've always loved the American Girl books, and it's delightful to now share them with my children. I love having them as audio books, especially for my son who is still a beginner reader but loves stories like these. The narrator's voice quality was not my favorite, and her reading was a bit unenthusiastic as well.
