About this listen

A dark fae prince with a beastly secret. A faerie princess with a curiosity for things better left alone. A bond that will turn enemies to lovers. A love that might cost them their lives…

I’d known exactly who he was—the Unseelie prince. But I hadn’t known just what he was.

I’d been fooled.

The creature I’d formed a tentative friendship with in my family’s dungeon was not the gentle, intriguing prince I’d thought him to be.

He was a monster. A bloodthirsty beast.

And I’d helped him escape my uncle’s clutches.

Such a betrayal called for severe consequences, and the price of releasing the biggest threat our kingdom had faced in hundreds of years was not one I would survive.

But upon discovering my uncle’s foiled plans for their prince, the Unseelie demanded vengeance, and an agreement was made.

My savior and my doom returned, and this time, he wasn’t leaving without me.

Regardless of how I loathed him, the deceitful and dangerous male was my last hope. Yet when he looked at me, touched me, dared to love me, the beliefs I’d worn as armor began to melt. I couldn’t let that happen.

Though avoiding fate would prove impossible when the only way to save my life was to surrender it by marrying the monster who’d destroyed it.

Kingdom of Villains is a complete standalone and is not connected to any other Ella Fields novel. HEA. No cliffhanger. It's an enemies-to-lovers fantasy with a whirlwind, swoon-worthy romance.

We’ll written, enjoyable, and spicy

Love Ella Fields and this one was well written and had her signature style. It is a fun, enjoyable fantasy romance story about the fated love between a Fei prince & princess, with a good amount of spice. I agree with the other reviewers that the female narrator was much better, though I got used to the male narrator as well.

Loved it!

This was a fun adventure, and who doesn't love dragons? A great stand alone that still has enough world building to be engaging.

Steamy

This was a great standalone story! Filled with lovely imagery of two war torn kingdoms and some very steamy moments.

Fast!

I enjoyed this story, but the h at some points became annoying. The story was good, fast, and had a HEA. I enjoyed it and I liked the epilogue 😉

Cute

The guy narrator needs to cover his recording studio with blankets or something to soak up the sound. The echo is obnoxious.

The story is super cute though. I’m loving it. It’s not great, but it’s a solid, cute read.

Another Incredible And Spicy Fairytale!

I thoroughly enjoyed this Arranged Marriage, Fated Mates story as I do all of Ella Fields books.

This one is about a Seelie princess and an Unseelie, Dragon-shifting, prince. I loved their story although a bit predictable but with a charming cast of characters. And plenty of heat!

The female narrator was perfect but, once again (the male narrator for The Savage & The Swan was abysmal), a good male narrator is a hard thing to find in an Ella Fields’ audiobook. But don’t let that deter you from enjoying this wonderful Beauty & the Beast retelling.

Story good but male narrator not so much

I enjoyed this story, however, I wish they had only used the female narrator for the book. Her deep voice is far better than the falsetto of the male narrator. I cringed when he would speak Thea's parts.

Good story

The story was pretty good. The male narrator’s cadence was all wrong, but not bad enough to stop listening.

Save your credit

I usually really like Ella Fields but this story seemed incomplete. <<<SPOILERS>>> Suddenly they’re mates?? Ok, when did that happen? And maybe it’s the narration but Fia seemed naive at times and then immediately accepting of her fate so let’s get it on. There are definitely gaps in the story where some more transition or details could be added rather than a character at the end explaining “oh, we duped you but it’s ok bc you love him now”. Save your credit on this one.
