About this listen

When Emma and Kip Dupree bought their first home together, they got a lot more than they bargained for. They wanted to get out of the city and get on with their lives on the quiet cul-de-sac. Instead, an object of obsession brings their lives to a screeching halt.

Who is the woman living next door?

Why does she do the curious things she does?

Why do Emma and Kip feel like their lives have been so disrupted?

How do they get her to stop?

The Duprees are only sure about one thing: the social contract must be upheld at all costs.

I was so so surprised!

When authors are also the narrators of their own books are usually Roll my eyes because it is rare that someone has both talents. This author does and I was so grateful he dead. This book is not only and OMG it is an LOL. Especially the part where he’s training the new employee that was so funny! There are so many positives about the short book I can’t name them all as some of them are spoilers and some of them are slipping my mind at the moment as I read this book yesterday. I just think the ending was a bit unexpected and the absolute ending was totally unexpected. This author has cutting weight hilarious descriptive narrative and they’re all intertwined into the short book that I recommend to anyone. It is a perfect lunchtime read or while waiting for a doctors visit. Maybe you can do like me and read it while you’re at home you can read it anytime is your book. But get the book it’s awesome!

I do want to say though don’t eat and read this book like I did. There is talk a pretty good bit of it two of dog feces and not just the state of being there more than that very descriptive as I said something I could’ve lived without Anderson!

I'd Kill The Neighbor Too

This book was quite brilliant because it is so simple and so believable. Almost everyone will be able to relate with this story and if you can't, you are that neighbor. For being so short, I felt like you got to know Emma and Kip well enough to completely understand how they are able to go from calm simple neighbors to at wits' end desperate neighbors. I felt like the crazy neighbor was also perfectly depicted as she wasn't so insane that you could get a restraining order, yet crazy enough that she would drive anyone to edge of their cliff.

I haven't been a big fan of Anderson Prunty narrating his own books as I don't think he really provides the excitement in his voice that would really make these books so much better. While he still has a fairly monotone voice throughout the story, I felt like he staggered his cadence a bit more than normal and was able to make the book flow better.

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.

Some truly laugh out loud and retchable moments

A morbidly obese, legionnaires disease riddled hillbully with 3 yappy poop-machines for dogs finally pushes her neighbors, Emma and Kip, over the edge. They can’t take it anymore. They need to deliver a strong message to get through the idea of neighborly propriety and social graces if they are going to continue to live in their new home. That is, if they can get across the Mason-Dixon Line of dog poo.

I dig Andersen Prunty’s stuff, but would have liked this one to be expanded a bit. I would be interested to see where Prunty would have taken the subject matter it in a slightly longer format.

As usual, the writing was very well done with some truly laugh out loud and retchable moments, just as I have come to expect from the author. 4.5 Amazon Stars!

I dig Andersens narration too. I think it brings a lot to the stories.

Slow Murderous Fun

Have we all had a neighbor we’ve wanted to ‘go away’? Most likely, and here they go and follow through with it. Although slow going at times and only a build up of murderous reasoning, and not much of any other character building, the writing is enjoyable and fulkilling...er, fulfilling. Had it been longer Prunty could’ve given me more of a chance to build the proper hate/love connection to the characters.

Watch Out For Your Neighbors

This is about how Emma and Kip go about to get even with a neighbor who has few dogs, who bark keeps her home and yard unkempt. I find they were also a problem as psychopaths who take enjoyed murdering her and 2 of the dogs.
