Publisher's summary

This book is a fast-paced insta-love romance.

Life has never been easy for Denver Hollis. But at 23 years old, she didn't foresee losing everything, becoming homeless, sleeping in shelters, and sometimes on the cold city streets of New York. One day, her luck turns. With help from an unlikely friend, Denver lands a promising job as an assistant for Callan Hawk, attorney at law.

Callan Hawk is an attractive man. He exudes power and sex appeal. He's also arrogant and, at times, insufferable to work with. Ignoring the way Callan's presence and heated stares make her feel, Denver is determined to stay focused and get her life back on the right track. Little does Denver know, Callan has his sights set on her. After discovering Denver's secret, he becomes more determined to protect her—make her his. Callan vows to take care of her and give her everything she never had. Promises are made to be broken. Right?

Now Denver has to choose to walk away from the man she has fallen in love with or trust him with her heart again.

Office romance with some drama

Denver was down on her luck in the worst way. With the help of a kind library worker she finds a job in a law firm with a prickly lawyer. Callahan instantly falls for Denver. Romance blooms until he makes a big mistake and distrusts her. He realizes his mistake but is it to late?

I enjoyed the story. The female narrator did a great job. The male narrator only narrated for approximately 25 minutes.

Great story

I really liked that the authors tied in the very real problem of homelessness. The performance captured that very well. It’s really not a 100% dual POV but the story was sweet. And the ending is even sweeter.

Great book and performance

Narrators make this audio book. Both are great at inflections to feel the emotions of the characters. If you want a book with equal male POV then this isn’t for you. It’s 97% FMC POV but don’t let that steer you away. The story is well developed and I love that the author chose a subject that has a huge stigma - homelessness. Amazing story with great narrators.

Keeping Denver is a Beautiful Story

I actually would’ve loved to have a few more chapters from column point of view, but overall the story was really beautiful. I love the fact that Denver really put herself first towards the end and it wasn’t until he proved that he knew what would be important in winning her over that she gave in. I love the reality of her circumstances and she was definitely a character to root for.

Disappointing

I found this book disappointing boarding on hating this book.I have seen the advertisements of this particular book a lot of Booktok. The premise sounded amazing a young women Denver was dealt a terrible hand in live. And through a job may have a chance to make it better. In the beginning Denver is a strong female character but by the end she is simply a spineless woman.

The male lead Callan Hawk rescues Denver from freezing in the street on evening and brings her home. And then becomes a control boyfriend but that is okay because he is rich. When Denver is accused of stealing Callan shows his true colors.

So instead of Denver walking away and moving on she eventually forgives him. Why on earth would a person forgive him. I didn’t do anything that warranted her forgiveness. All Denver accomplished with her relationship with Callan is becoming a mom.

I personally think Spencer was a better pairing for Denver. He showed up!He get her out of jail and seemed to value her more as a person than Callan. I feel with Spencer Denver may have end up attending getting an apartment and attending college and developing into a strong intelligent women.

💔Someone who truly Loves Me ❣️

A Love Story and being drawn to a person. Finding Love but you weren't looking for it. Twists and turns, revenge, jealousy, alpha MMC and MFC feeling unworthy and unwanted. Not a lot of heat but a Nice Story of Love, disappointment and rejection. I feel like this should have been a short series. Awesome Narration and Characters.

Keeping Denver

These two authors are new to me and I’m pleasantly surprised by such a good book.🎧📖 This book has a few triggers so if you’re a sensitive reader🎧you should probably rethink getting this book. The narration would’ve been better if we could hear more of Tor Thom🫦🫶🏼 Thankfully it does end with a HEA. Is it worth the credit? Yes❣️

Cute story

The only thing that bothered me about this story is the lack of realism when it comes to the arrest. No way would cops arrest someone without fingerprints or video of the crime in an office situation…. Just saying

Wish it was duet narration!

The majority of this book is performed by Janine Granda, if this had been duet narration I truly think the book would have been better, only a few chapters were from the MMC's perspective so we barely got to hear Tor Thom/s amazing narration. I know it's more expensive to do but damn it would have made a huge difference in this particular audiobook. I did like that the story was mostly from the FMC's perspective, despite the lack of duet narration. I think the spice could have been a little more spicy and frequent. If you're looking for a sort of insta-love/guy saves girl/guy is possessive of girl kinda story, I'd say this is definitely worth the credit!
