Second time reading this book and this time I had the audiobook also. Still love it!!!!
It’s nerve wrecking and sweet. The author knows how to keep me on the edge in every way.
The characters is lacking something to be fully developed in to realistic personalities but it’s not diminishing the storyline.
No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings
Lots of good dialogues
Agonising twists the end that had me gasping
HEA guaranteed

Narrator:
Very good soothing voice that was a joy listening to. Clear pronunciation and read with feelings.

I very much enjoyed this story by the great Maya Banks. She’s one of my favorite authors. This story had such a fascinating plot. The heroine is a psychic who has helped find many missing women. The bad thing is that when she’s given an object they have touched she goes straight into whatever is happening, feeling what they feel. She connected with a serial killer the last time she helped find someone and now she’s hiding from him, their connection still open. The hero is also looking for her and when he finds her in a remote cabin he forces her to help find his missing sister, not realizing what happens to her during this. He leaves immediately after to get to where his sister is being rescued in Oklahoma, but he’s feeling so guilty he knows he will go back to make sure she’s okay. When his sister is home and he returns, she’s gone. He doesn’t know where she went- until a year later when he gets a call from her asking him to help her. Her nemesis has found her... this story has a great ending. It’s emotional throughout and I had a lot of sympathy for both main characters. Narration was excellent.

Truly loved this! Interestingly entertaining and totally involving. Great intensity kept me on the edge . Such fun, a must read.

Yes I love the kgi colters and highlander series the last ones haven't had the depth of those

Loved it. If you like to be entertained you'll like this book. It took me a couple of chapters to get used to Jeffrey Kafer

I really like how they feel in love a bit different and a bit of a twist at the end of him being the one that oh well just wait and find out not saying anymore

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I might. But if I did it would be with a warning that the story takes a weird, dark twist that they may not like.

What aspect of Jeffrey Kafer’s performance would you have changed?

Mr Kafer's narration was ok. I certainly wouldn't pass on a book because he's the narrator. (There are definitely some narrators out there that would make me pass).

He did a good job with acting out the scenes but the female and male voices are nearly the same. I prefer narrators that have good separation between men and women. If he could improve on that I think he would easily move from the kind of narrator where when you see a book you're interested in, you think, "ok, he's alright" to the kind where you search see what other books he's read .

Any additional comments?

I really didn't like that MB had Caleb taken over and made to hurt Ramie. To me it turned the story to entirely unbelievable. I just can't see how anyone would be able to just get over that without at least time to process it, let alone without any counseling. I was really enjoying the book until that happened. I did listen to the end but I almost turned it off because that twist really soured it for me.

Love it!!! Maya you never disappoint!! it was an amazing. combination of thriller, mistery love suspense all in one! i could not put it down!!!! and Jeffrey was awesome cant wait to listen more by him ! riverac511
