 KNOWING JESUS It’s precisely about what it says it is! Someone might ask, “Why know Jesus?” The answer is what remains for you to know once you choose not to know Jesus! Slowly, slowly all branches of knowledge are proving themselves to be either wrong or but partly true. What you are going to gain if you know what is not true?! What is not true is equal to what is not! Can you ever have what is not? And if you cannot have what is not, can you have satisfaction? And if you don’t have satisfaction in life, can you ever be happy? And if you cannot be happy, then…what? But, if you know Jesus, you will also know that it is but the beginning of the journey. It is full of surprises for those set out on it. It is nothing like romantic apprehension of a person who died roughly 2000 years ago. Knowing Him will make you realize that He is very much there with you, close at hand. You can feel His presence. It is not that every time you call on Him, He presents Himself to you! Nothing of the sort you can expect from Him. It is only when you need Him most, and only when you have no other help except Him, that you cry out to Him, and He answers in deed. And every time He answers you, you grow in knowledge about Him. Talking about knowing Jesus, it will avail you to know that there are ways in which you may know Him. You need to know them. Ignorance in this regard may cost you a lot; because the time in which we are living now is full of false preachers who fill people’s minds with extra-biblical things.
