About this listen

Should they risk their friendship for a chance at love?

Alannah Bailey is tired of being the boring best friend of Trenton Johnson and decides on a makeover. After the changes, she starts dating, but instead of being happy, Trenton acts like he wants to keep her under lock and key.

Trenton is used to partying and having his pick of women. Such an advantage comes with the Johnson name, their money, and his own good looks. When he needs downtime, he depends on his best buddy, Alannah. But he doesn't like the changes he sees in her lately, and by the time he figures out why, it might be too late.

I have listened to this volume of The Johnson Family series several times. The storyline is so well thought out and executed. And Michael Pauley does a Fantastic job bringing this book to life. I still have 2 more books to purchase to complete the series. I am looking forward to reading more from Ms. Diamond.

I can't get enough!!!

The book was good however, the reader has a monotone voice. It is like he is reading a bedtime story.

Great

Trent and Alanah's story was absolutely amazing! Trent was so much more complex than I thought he would be. This love story was an emotional rollercoaster. So many twist and turns.

The best in the series!!!!

Unlike with similes stories, the characters' romance is so relatable. Their dialogue is comical. This will definitely remind you of that one guy friend that you had a crush on way back when. Hats off to the author and narrator.

I was recently introduced to Delaney Diamond and I love her work! Just friends is a great story and quite relatable. I hate the narrator sounds so automated and unrealistic, but that won’t stop me from supporting her printed work

Great story.....but the narrator takes so much away

This story dealt with real life issues and the ups and downs in relationships. A lot of the book was hilarious; especially Trent’s inner thoughts related to Alana. Narration was perfect; brought out each character. Looking forward to listening to the next book!

I think I would’ve enjoyed the story more but the voice of the narrator was so distracting. All the Male voices sound like out of breath robots.

Story versus narrator

Trenton and Alannah keep the tempture rising. Ms. Diamond blends sentimental and temperamental into unforgettable. The story was a win but narration was lacking. Not a good match for this awesome story.
